Request - Kayce fixes something in your apartment but ultimately tries to get you to move in with him on the ranch.
"I tried to get the thing to latch on, but I can't," You sighed as Kayce leaned backward, under your kitchen sink in your tiny apartment.
"I can see the tear," Kayce said, his voice echoed.
"I would have called my landlord, but he's out this weekend," You rolled your eyes. "It's always when they leave."
"Hand me your wrench," Kayce held his hand out.
You grabbed the tool and passed it to him.
"I just don't wanna break it," Kayce grunted and you knew he was trying to do what you had been trying to do for the past hour.
"I couldn't break it," You leaned your elbows back on the counter as you waited.
"Shit," Kayce muttered and you heard a pop.
"What?" You asked him.
Kayce sat back up and dipped his head coming back out from under the sink. He looked at the wrench in his hand before he looked up at you.
"Got any plumbers tape?" He asked you.
"Do I look like I have plumber tape?" You raised an eyebrow at him.
"Let me go grab some then," Kayce stood up. "Maybe I can patch it enough for it to last until you get a professional to fix it."
"Thought you were a professional?" You smirked at him.
"Professional cowboy, baby," Kayce laughed. "Not a professional plumber."
"Guess I chose the wrong man," You sighed dramatically but ended up smiling at Kayce.
He drove you both to the store and you followed him inside and down one of the aisles. You were glancing at the door mats while Kayce looked for the tape.
"You know how we could ultimately fix this?" Kayce leaned down to look at his options.
"Have a threesome with a plumber?" You asked him.
Kayce glared up at you, making you laugh out loud.
"I'm kidding, babe," You reached down and tugged on his hair.
"Uh huh," Kayce rolled his eyes. "No, we could actually fix this if you would move in with me."
"You don't have plumbing problems on the ranch?" You asked him.
"Y/N..." Kayce pressed his lips together.
"Kayce," You blinked at him.
Kayce grabbed a roll of tape and stood back up, looking over at you.
"I've asked you three times now to move in with me," Kayce said.
"Do you think we're ready for that?" You sighed, not really wanting to have this conversation on aisle three in the store.
"I don't remember the last time I didn't sleep next to you," Kayce started to walk back down the aisle. "We're always together...think of the gas we'd cut down on not having to drive back and forth?"
"So gas is the reason we're gonna move in together?" You followed him.
"And we'd be together," Kayce let you walk in front of him in the checkout line.
"You'd get sick of me," You mumbled.
"No I wouldn't," Kayce chuckled. "I miss you still even though I see you a lot now."
"Aww...Kayce," You smiled up at him. "I miss you too, babe."
"Cute," Kayce gently pushed you forward as he paid out.
You laced your fingers with him as you both walked back to his truck. Kayce opened your door for you.
"I'm nervous," You told him.
"To move in with me?" Kayce asked you.
"I just don't want to...I don't know, make you not like me or something," You shrugged. "Like you'll wake up and not...want...me?"
Kayce threw the tape into the trunk. He put his hands on his hips and looked at you like you were ridiculous.
"I won't want you?" He asked as if he hadn't heard you correctly.
"I know," You shrugged.
"Baby," Kayce chuckled. "I want you all the time...like, all the time. I don't think you'll ever have to worry about me not wanting you."
"Kayce," You pushed his shoulder.
"And I don't just mean in bed," Kayce grabbed your hips and pulled you closer to him. "I want to be around you. I like being around you, even if we're just sitting on the couch doing nothing. But I want that as an option...to just have you around me as much as I can."
"You sure?" You looked up at him with a smile. "I know I'm a pain in the ass sometimes."
"Yes, but I love your ass," Kayce smirked. "And you may drive me mad, but I love you."
You thought about it for a minute.
"We're gonna need a bigger dresser 'cause yours can't fit all my clothes," You wrapped your arms around his neck.
"Whatever you want, darlin'," Kayce leaned his lips down on yours.
"And I need to finish out the month at my place so I can get my deposit back," You smiled.
"This means you're moving in with me?" Kayce raised an eyebrow.
"I'm moving in with you," You nodded.
