Request - Hi there! Could you do a oneshot where Kayce and the Reader are in a new relationship and she stays the night (not sex) at the foreman's cabin with him for the first time? The next morning her stuff is in the bunkhouse and Rip sees her leaving the cabin or something?

"It's getting late," You said but didn't make a move to get up from the couch.

You also had Kayce's head in your lap, your bare feet kicked up on the coffee table, the two of you had been talking for the past two hours. This had become a regular occurrence for the two of you. You came to the Dutton Ranch to be their new vet tech two months ago. A week into your role, you met Kayce after he came back from the boarder. He was the Livestock Commissioner for Montana and you were head over heels instantly.

Another week went by and you noticed Kayce coming around more often to the barn and bunkhouse. A few days later you were drunk from a night in town with the boys to blow off steam and stumbled over to where Kayce was sitting on his porch. He smiled at you and said he'd walk you back to the bunkhouse. At the door you leaned in and kissed him. It was a bit sloppy and you were incredibly embarrassed the next day when you saw him. He was leaving for work and walked over to you. You braved yourself for a lashing when Kayce wrapped his arm around you and kissed you fully.

"You're cute drunk, but I like kissing you sober," Kayce told you.

Which brought you to right now, with Kayce looking up at you.

"What do you tell the wranglers when you come back late?" Kayce asked you.

"I tell them to fuck off," You laughed.

"Atta girl," Kayce nodded.

"Honestly, no one's said anything," You shrugged. "At least not to my face."

Kayce only hummed in response.

"Okay," You patted his chest. "Seriously, six am comes fast when it's almost midnight."

Kayce didn't move, his smile fading slightly. You tilted your head, worried you did something wrong.

"You could..." Kayce trailed off.

"Could what?" You asked.

He leaned up to sit next to you. Leaning forward on your legs you waited.

"You know I have a bed?" He said.

"I'm aware," You raised an eyebrow.

"You could...use it," Kayce shrugged.

"Use your bed?" You asked. "Like...to sleep?"

"That's what people tend to do in beds," Kayce smirked at you.

"I'm not sleeping with you Kayce," You shook your head. "We aren't...we haven't...it's too-"

"Not sex," Kayce chuckled at your stuttering. "Sleep."

"Just sleep?" You asked. "Why?"

"Why?" Kayce let out a laugh. "Because I wanna lay next you? I wanna hold you? I don't know...I just know I don't want you to leave."

You felt your pulse slow down. A sense of calm spread down your shoulders and you smiled.

"Oh," You said. "I'm sorry...I didn't mean to make it seem like you just wanted to sleep with me...like that."

"Oh, I want that too," Kayce stood up and offered you his hand. "But I can wait."

"Are you real?" You asked out loud.

"Come to bed," Kayce dragged you to the back of the cabin.

**

"Okay, I really need to go," You kissed Kayce one more time at the front door to the cabin. "I've got to change and be my supplies."
