Request - We all love protective/jealous Kayce, but I want more of that from Y/n, and Kayce absolutely loving every single minute of it. Especially him seeing a new side to her he'd liked to further explore.

It was one of those rare nights when everyone from the ranch went into town. There was a bar right when you pulled in, a little off to the left side of the highway still, which was perfect for wranglers, ranchers, and those who didn't want to fight the tourists during the summer season.

The crew was about to leave for Cowboy Camp for a few weeks, so this was the last time you knew you'd see civilization for a while...and you were completely okay with that. Currently, you were tucked into Kayce's side, his arm across the back of your chair. A new beer bottle was placed in front of you, making you look up to see Rip nod his head at you before sitting down next to Beth and handing her one as well.

You brought the bottle up to your lips and listened to Lloyd's story he was telling about how Jimmy almost broke his neck again trying his hand at rodeo.

"Have you ever thought of doing something that won't kill you, Jimmy?" Ryan asked him.

"It's what I love," Jimmy shrugged.

The whole crew laughed. You glanced at Kayce who hadn't said much since you all sat down. But there was a hint of a smile on his lips, so you knew he was relaxed. Plus, every so often he would rub circles on your shoulder where his fingers brushed. Beth stood up, making you glance at her now.

"I have to go to the bathroom," Beth was looking directly at you.

"Uh..." You took another sip of your beer and sat it on the table. "Guess I have to go to the bathroom too."

The men laughed as Beth flipped them off. The two of you made your way down the hallway to the restrooms. Beth cut through the small line of women and walked right in after one of them left the room. She looked back at you with her eyebrow raised. Sending the women glaring at you an apologetic smile, you hurried in after her. Beth went into the stall while you looked in the mirror.

It was a bit humid in the bar, so you ran your fingers under your eyes, taking care of your mascara that had smudged. You then ran your fingers through your hair, a bit fluffy, but why was it that humidity someone made it look better than a curling iron ever could?

Beth walked out and you leaned to the side so she could wash her hands. You handed her a towel as you took one last glance at you.

"You know my brother's fucking you tonight so why keep checking?" Beth smirked.

You gave her a crazy look.

"Do you often think about who your brother's fucking?" You asked her.

"Until you, I haven't liked any of the women he's been with," Beth threw the towel away. "You I like...and so does he, so stop messing with yourself."

"I'm a girl," You laughed. "It's what we do."

"No, you're a woman," Beth held up her finger. "And you've got that boy wrapped around your finger...you could wear a plastic bag and my brother wouldn't look at anyone else."

"That doesn't mean others ain't looking at him though," You mumbled.

When you arrived at the bar, you noticed a few women eyeing Kayce. You know Kayce was attractive, hell when he first asked you to dance a year ago you ended up in his bed that night for a reason, but that didn't mean the green-eyed monster in you didn't come out now and then.

"Then make them stop looking," Beth told you.

"How?" You asked. "They technically haven't done anything...just looking."
