Request - for the one-shots would you mind doing one where there's a spider and the reader hates spiders so she makes Kayce kill it but it's cute idk.

You watched Kayce pull down your attic's ladder. A cloud of dust settled around both of you, making you wave your arms around.

"When's the last time you've been up here?" Kayce asked, raising an eyebrow at you.

"Um...awhile," you muttered. "I didn't ask you to help me."

"You're gonna bring down a table for your dining room by yourself?" Kayce asked as he wiggled the ladder steps to make sure they were working.

"I could," You frowned and Kayce laughed. "You'd be surprised at what I can handle, thank you very much."

"Hmm, see I do know what you can handle," Kayce smirked as he stepped up the ladder.

"Kayce!" You swatted his leg.

"Easy, I'm literally taking my life into my hands for you, woman," Kayce laughed as he stuck his head up in the attic.

"Do you see it?" You asked him.

"Yeah," Kayce called down, walking up the ladder more until half of him disappeared.

"What can I do?" You asked, feeling useless right now.

"Catch me if I fall," Kayce said.

"How about you don't fall?" You shook your head. "How about that?"

"I got it," Kayce said and then you heard him pull the table across the attic toward him. "Coming down."

You moved out of the way as Kayce walked back down the ladder, bringing the table with him. You reached out to help him set the table on the floor and dusted off the top while he moved to pull the ladder back up and close the attic latch. When he did, more dust fell as you were cleaning off the table, but this time a black spider also fell right next to your hand.

The scream that came from your lips was high pitched and feral sounding. You jumped back, tripping over a box in the garage as you dusted off your body...even though the spider didn't touch you.

"What?" Kayce asked, paranoid as well due to your actions and also not seeing what had happened to you. "What's wrong? Y/N! What?"

"Spider!" You screamed and pointed at the table. "Kill it, kill it, kill it!"

"What?" Kayce looked down and saw the small spider on the table.

He then looked back at you and blinked slowly. You had your arms wrapped around your body as you were breathing hard. You hated spiders...there was just something about them that freaked you out. You could handle lizards and snakes, wolves, and grizzlies. But when you saw a spider, you freaked.

"Kayce!" You cried. "Get rid of it!"

"Alright," Kayce took his hand and brushed the spider off the table, then lifted his foot and ended it.

You felt yourself relax and stand up straighter, your arms dropping to your sides. Taking a few deep breaths, you looked over at Kayce who seemed to be trying to not smile at you.

"Don't," You shook your head.

"Baby..." Kayce walked over to you.

"Stop," You held your hand against his chest. "Be nice."

"Do you not like spiders?" Kayce asked you.

"What gave you that impression?" You frowned. "And why is that weird? They're evil little balls of...terror. Lurking about and biting you when you're least expecting it."

"Y/N...I've literally seen you hack off a rattler's head," Kayce reached out and wrapped his arm around your waist.

"And?" You glared up at him.

"So that little thing cause this?" Kayce bit his lip.

"So, I hate spiders," You shrugged but let Kayce pull you into him. "Everyone hates something."

"Glad I could save you," Kayce winked.

You blinked back at him before pushing against his chest.

"Let go," You grunted.

"No," Kayce wrapped you in a tight hug and laughed. "Say thank you for saving you."

"Kayce..." You sighed and gave up, slouching into his hold. "Fine...thank you for saving me."

"You're welcome, babe," Kayce kissed your forehead and then let go.

He walked over to the table and looked at you expectantly.

"What?" He asked when you didn't move.

"Not sure I want something a spider was on," You thought about it.

"You're kidding me," Kayce looked annoyed. "After all that you don't what it now?"

"No, I want it...just wanted to see that face," You smirked and turned on your heel.

"You're lucky I love you," Kayce hoisted the table over his shoulder so he could see where he was walking and followed you back into your house.
