Request - Could you do a part 2 to "New Sibling"? Their daughter gets along fine at first with her new baby brother and she starts to get a little jealous?

You heard the door open and close, signaling Kayce was finally home. Turning from the stove, you smiled as Kayce walked into the kitchen. Your daughter was coloring on the island and had yet to notice or hear Kayce come in. Your eyes met Kayce's as you smiled at him. Kayce walked over silently, wrapping his arms around your daughter fast.

Her giggles filled the room as he swooped her up into his arms, pressing multiple kisses to her cheek. You lowered the temperature on the stew you had been making and walked around to where they were standing.

"Daddy!" Your daughter laughed as Kayce lowered her back to standing on the chair.

"Hey," You smiled as your arms wrapped around Kayce.

"Hey, baby," Kayce kissed your cheek as he hugged you close to him. "Sorry it took an extra day."

"Just glad you're home," You whispered, squeezing his sides before letting him go.

"Daddy, look what I've drawn!" Your daughter went to hold up her picture.

"Hang on, darlin'," Kayce glanced at you. "Where's my boy?"

"He's sleep-" You stopped when you heard a small cry from upstairs. "Well, he was sleeping."

"I'll get him," The grin on Kayce's face was infectious as he quickly walked out of the room.

You giggled as you walked back over to the stove and stirred the large pot. You sat the spoon back down and walked to the fridge.

"Baby do you want juice or lemonade to drink with your supper?" You asked looking over your shoulder.

But your daughter was frowning, looking down at her drawing.

"What's wrong?" You shut the fridge and walked over to her.

Her bottom lip was quivering as he eyes watered in the corners. You leaned down and brushed some of her hair over her shoulder so you could see her face better.

"Sweetheart, what's wrong?" You asked her.

"Daddy doesn't love me," She sniffed.

"W-What?" You almost laughed at the insanity of your daughter's statement. "Baby...there ain't another person he loves, like he loves you."

"Nu uh," She shook her head harshly. "He loves Y/S/N more."

You looked over at the door, expecting Kayce to walk in with your son but didn't see him. He must be changing him or something. Sighing, you pulled out the chair next to your daughter's and sat down, turning her chair to face you.

"You know that ain't true," You smiled at her.

"He didn't even want to see my picture," She pouted.

"Let me see your picture," You held out your hands.

"It's for Daddy," She argued.

"So I can't see it?" You laughed. "Maybe I'll want it more...you know I love your drawings."

Your daughter sighed and handed you the piece of paper. You flipped it over and felt your heart flip around too.

It was a stick-figure family, of you, Kayce, your daughter and then a little blue bundle in your arms. Kayce was holding your daughter. Your eyes looked over at your daughter who was watching you closely.

You took a deep breath and sat the paper down on the island, looking at your daughter with a smile.

"This is beautiful," You nodded. "And your Daddy is gonna love it even more than I do...just you watch."

"I don't think so," You daughter grabbed her crayons and hopped off the stool.

Your eyes followed her as she walked into the den to put up her colors. A few seconds later, Kayce walked in, holding your son in his arms. When he saw your eyes, he stopped.

"I didn't put him in the camo one, I promise," Kayce held him up as if to prove it to you.

"No, Kayce," You rolled your eyes, standing up and walking over to him. "I think someone isn't feeling a whole love of Daddy's love right now."

"What're you talking about?" Kayce asked you.

"She thinks you love our son more," You nodded your head over your shoulders to indicate your daughter.

"What?" Kayce frowned.

"She drew you a picture and I think when you wanted to see Y/S/N...she took it as a blow off," You shrugged.

"I didn't mean that," Kayce sighed.

"I know you didn't," You reached out and rubbed his shoulder. "She was doing well in the beginning, but I think it's getting to her again that she's gotta share us now."

"It's been an adjustment for all of us," Kayce reminded you.

"Yeah, I pushed both of them out of me," You laughed. "I think I know more than anyone in this house."

Kayce chuckled, handing you your son.

"Y/D/N!" Kayce called out.

A few seconds later she appeared in the kitchen again.

"Who drew this?" Kayce pointed to the picture still on the island.

"Uh..." She glanced at you briefly. "Me?"

"You did?" Kayce asked and you noticed he was exaggerating his voice a bit.

"Yes, sir?" Your daughter nodded.

"This might be," Kayce kneeled to her level. "The greatest drawing that has ever been drawn."

You rolled your eyes and had to bite your lip, but God did you love your man.

"Yeah?" Your daughter seemed to share your opinion of him.

"Prettier than anything I've ever seen," Kayce winked at her. "Except you and your Momma."

Kayce grabbed your daughter and picked her up in his arms again, holding her on his hip as he walked over to the fridge. He let her grab a magnet and placed the drawing front and center. Kayce kissed her cheek before bouncing her to make her giggled more.

"How about we help Momma set the table?" Kayce asked her.

You walked over and shut the stove off, grabbing a ladle with one hand, keeping your son tight against your chest with the other. You dished out three big bowls of the stew as Kayce walked back over to you, taking them from the counter.

The three of you enjoyed the stew while your son cooed in either your arms or Kayce's. But Kayce made sure to make the whole conversation about your daughter. Asking her about her day and what she might like to do tomorrow with him and the wranglers.

Later, after baths and bedtime stories, you were in bed when Kayce walked in. You glanced at the time.

"Got another thirty minutes before his last feeding this evening," You smiled as Kayce crawled in next to you. "How'd tuck-in time go?"

"I think she's forgiven me," Kayce grunted as his head leaned back on his pillow.

"Of course, she did," You leaned down and kissed his pout. "She just thinks you've hung the stars and moon."

"Little does she know it was her Momma," Kayce opened his eyes up to you. "Sorry it was an extra day again."

"It's okay," You leaned down to snuggle up with him. "Just glad you're home now."

"I'm here..." Kayce held you until your son needed you more.
