Request - Can you do a one-shot where the y/n is maybe with Travis's crew from Texas? He shows up with horses to show John and she's one of the riders with him. Her riding and skills with horses impressed Kayce who ended up lightly flirting with her before deciding to shoot his shot. Maybe she ends up staying in Montana for a while and they end up moving in together.

Author's note - this is a long storyline for a one-shot, but I'll try my best!

It wasn't your first time at John Dutton's ranch. You had been once before with Travis when you first joined his team. But that didn't mean the mountain range in the man's backyard didn't take your breath away this time when you got out of the truck. You never would understand how someone could have this as their land. It amazed you and it was what your dreams were made of.

"Let's unload," Travis called out. "Work out the ones needed and we'll divide them up into the corrals for now."

You moved so you could grab your bag from the back seat. Travis was your cousin, and after finishing vet school in Texas, you came back up to work with him. The man was a legendary horse salesman, but that didn't mean he knew how to treat the horses if they got sick or injured. You had also gotten the hang of riding and were pretty good at it compared to the others. You fit right in and had enjoyed the last year being on the team.

You walked up to the barn, nodding at Lloyd and Rip as they went to greet Travis. You remembered those two, but not many of the others. Making your way inside, you saw an area where you could set up shop before you were needed to help work out the horses from being in trailers for hours. When you turned around you saw a guy standing near you, watching you.

"Sorry," You jumped.

"No, I'm sorry," He shook his head. "You the vet?"

"Yes," You held out your hand. "Y/N Y/L/N...I'm uh...Travis' cousin."

"Kayce," He smiled at you.

He had pretty eyes. Typically, you went for blues, but something warm about his darker eyes made you want to keep looking at him.

"Y/N!"

Travis was waving you over next to your horse. You looked back at Kayce and smiled.

"Nice to meet you," You walked off.

When you got up to Travis he was smirking at you.

"What?" You asked him.

"Stop flirting with the rancher's son," Travis handed you the reigns.

"Rancher's son?" You asked him and glanced back at Kayce.

He was still watching you from the barn. Travis pinched your arm, making you swat at him.

"That's John's youngest," Travis shut the trailer's door. "Try not to sleep with him, okay?"

"God you're awful," You rolled your eyes and walked off with your horse.

You looked over your shoulder and saw Kayce was gone.

**

"We'll leave tomorrow at eight," Travis told you as he handed you another beer.

"Alright," You sighed, not wanting to leave at all.

The crew had been at the Dutton ranch for three weeks now. It had been the base for all your dealings in the surrounding area. John Dutton liked Travis. Travis had also brought in millions for John Dutton with his horses, but you were appreciative nonetheless. You also had a certain cowboy making it harder to leave this place.
