Request – Can you write one where the reader is taking a shower and Kayce comes home angry after a day at the office? He walks in and sits on the edge of the tub and just starts complaining about his day. The reader then tells him to come inside and like cleans him. Like it's romantic but not sexual?
You had just finished shaving your legs when you heard Kayce call out to you from the other room. He must be home, and you were glad. Not that you knew everything this day had brought him, but you knew it wasn't good.
It started out early, Kayce got a phone call around four in the morning that he needed out with his team. You barely remember his lips pressing against your forehead before he was leaving.
There was a body of a teenage girl found on someone's ranch a few miles from town. You knew from a quick call at lunchtime, Kayce and his team found out who did it and tracked them back to a trailer near Darby. The problem was when the team there went in to discuss, the trailer blew up, wounding three of the deputies.
After the explosion, Kayce's team traced the guy back to some cabin where a shootout took place. After Kayce killed the guy, he found out the man had two small children inside, who had to be processed through the state.
While this was happening, there was a protest outside of a few state offices due to the pipeline trying to be built near the south end of Glacier National Park. The protestors grew rowdy and threw bricks against the windows, shattering them. Arrests were made, but that meant more paperwork and now Kayce had buildings without windows in them.
You hadn't talked to Kayce since lunch and that was only a brief call. When you heard his footsteps, you looked over your shoulder as Kayce walked into the bathroom.
"Hey," You said gently, over the sound of the shower.
"Hey," Kayce grunted, sitting down on the tub's edge.
"I'd ask how you were but..." You looked over at him.
"This fucking day," Kayce shook his head.
You frowned, taking in his appearance. His shoulders sagged forward, tense from all the stress. His hair was greasy looking, probably due to it being warm out and having a hat on all day. There were deep lines on his face, and his hands were dirty and bruised.
"Kace?" You asked, opening the shower door.
Kayce looked up at you, his eyes sad now.
"C'mere," You nodded for him to join you.
"You finish up," Kayce shook his head. "I don't wanna get you dirty."
"Kayce," You raised an eyebrow. "Please, come here."
Kayce took a deep breath, kicking his boots off and reaching down to pull his socks off his feet. He stood up, walked over to the shower door, and unbuttoned his shirt.
You stepped back some as he undid his belt and pushed his jeans down. Soon, clothes all on the floor, Kayce stepped in to join you.
First things first, you stepped into him, wrapping your arms around his body, and holding him close. You were on your toes as Kayce nuzzled his nose into your neck, breathing in and out deeply. You leaned your head against him as you ran your hand over his shoulders, trying to massage some of the tension out.
"You smell good," Kayce mumbled against the skin of your collarbone.
"Well, I am clean," You giggled, pulling back.
Kayce wasn't smiling with you, but the frown lines were gone around his lips. You turned both of you, so Kayce was pushed back under the flow of water. You watched his hair get damp and the dirt and grime from the day started to wash away from his skin.
