Request - What if Kayce and Y/N have been dating for a while and he's always done a good job at hiding his jealous side but one night Y/N finds him up at cowboy camp around bonfire drinking with the wranglers and he is a bit drunk. He's not jealous in an aggressive way just way more pda than he would normally be in front of the wranglers.

"You good?" Jake asked you as you slid off your horse.

"Yeah," Your boots landed on the ground. "Thanks again for letting me ride up with you."

Jake nodded, walking both of your horses away. You looked around and saw a large campfire off to the side from the tents. You had decided to surprise Kayce and come up tonight instead of in the morning like you had planned. You didn't want to spend the night by yourself in the main lodge really.

"Y/N!" Ryan raised his beer can up as he saw you approaching.

The rest of the group turned and looked over at you. So much for surprising now. Your eyes found the set of golden ones you had missed over the last week of him being up at Cowboy Camp. Kayce's cheeks were lightly pink in the shadows of the fire as you walked up.

"Hey," You waved to everyone, smiling at Kayce as he stood up.

"What're you doing here?" Kayce smirked as his arm wrapped lowly around your back.

"Didn't want to sleep at the main lodge," You mumbled into his shoulder.

He smelled good to you, like the outdoors and campfire, as you breathed in deeply. Your arms held him close, not realizing how much you had missed him.

"So..." You pulled back. "Surprise?"

Kayce let out a chuckle as he leaned down, kissing your lips. It was a bit shocking to you, PDA never being a strong suite of Kayce Dutton. Right now, you had about fifteen wranglers watching you too...making it a little uncomfortable as he pulled away.

"Wanna drink?" Kayce asked you.

"Sure," You shrugged.

He leaned in and kissed your cheek, walking behind you to grab a beer from one of the coolers. It was your turn for your cheeks to turn pink as you glanced around. Ryan and Colby were smirking at you. Rolling your eyes, you stepped over the tree stump Kayce had been on.

"Thanks," You said as Kayce handed you an opened can.

Kayce sat back down on the stump, and you had a brief moment of wondering where you were supposed to go. But Kayce moved his legs out some, creating a space for you to sit in between and lean back against him.

Bring your can up, you sipped your beer as you settled against Kayce, not sure if it was the fire or him that was warming you up. The conversation started again around you, but you had a hard time concentrating.

Kayce's hand had moved up to the side of your neck. His fingers were brushing under your jaw as he listened to something that Jimmy was saying. Your eyes fluttered at the feeling and subconsciously, you leaned your head more into his palm.

"What about you, Y/N?" Jimmy asked, snapping you back to reality.

"What?" You blinked, feeling Kayce's fingers pause but stay on your skin.

"Do you think women enjoy flowers or chocolate more?" Jimmy looked at you in a serious way.

"Uh..." You thought about it. "I think it's a personal preference?"

"Then what do you like?" Jimmy tilted his head and you almost laughed at how serious he was about this question.

"She likes flowers," Kayce slurred from above you.

You leaned your head up and saw him eyeing Jimmy. Kayce wasn't being defensive, but there was a slight edge to his tone that maybe only you could pick up right now. You took one of your arms and hooking it over his thigh, your hand resting on his knee. It made Kayce turn his head to look down at you.

You bit your lip to keep you from smirking but rolled your eyes at him in a dramatic way to show you knew what he was doing. Kayce sighed and finished off his beer in his hand before crushing it against the log and tossing it into a pile already forming off to the side of the group.

Then, surprising you again, Kayce's hand reached down and tilted your head up more so he could lean down and kiss your lips. You could taste the beer he'd been drinking, but his lips were warm and inviting to you.

"Oy!" Someone called out.

Another person wolf whistled, and your smile is what broke the kiss. Kayce's eyes stayed on your for a few more seconds before he glares at the group. You spent the next few minutes finishing your beer and listening to the wranglers talk about their day. Soon, your can joined all the others and you felt your eyes get sleepy...you had just finished a full work week.

Standing up, you stretched your arms above your head and looked down at Kayce. You gave him a sleepy smile, and felt his hand rub up and down the back of your knee.

"Where ya going?" Walker asked you.

You looked over at him.

"Bed," You said stepping back over the log.

You leaned down and turned your head, so your lips brushed against Kayce's ear as your spoke.

"Let's go, cowboy," You whispered.

Kayce stood up with you and another round of wolf whistles started.

"Fuck off," Kayce snapped as you laughed and pulled him along with you.

He stumbled slightly, letting you know he was a little drunk now. But soon Kayce wrapped his arm around your shoulders and led you over to his tent, opening the flap for you to walk in.

"You were certainly handsy tonight," You smiled up at him as you sat on the cot, taking your boots off.

"Thought you liked me handsy?" Kayce smirked.

"I do," You laughed. "You just usually aren't with the guys."

"They're being idiots," Kayce shrugged.

"About what?" You asked.

"Nothing," Kayce kicked his own boots off as you leaned back against the pillows.

"Tell me," You smiled.

"Just...making stupid remarks about women," Kayce pulled off his long-sleeved shirt. "About you."

"Me?" You leaned up on your elbows. "What about me?"

"Nothing," Kayce kneeled at your knees and held onto your hips, looking up at you with a smile.

"Tell me," You pressed.

Kayce leaned his lips down and pressed a kiss where your shirt had risen up from your jeans. The action made you shiver but you were still curious about this conversation you had been a topic of. Kayce went to press another kiss down, but your fingers stopped him.

"Kayce," You raised an eyebrow.

Kayce sighed, rolling his eyes, and leaning his head up.

"Just talking about how you could still be with me after all this shit I've put you through," Kayce shrugged. "That you're too good for me or something...I shut 'em up quickly."

"I'm too good for you?" You giggled.

"I mean you are," Kayce crawled over you.

"You're too good to me," You wrapped you arms around his shoulders.

"How good?" Kayce leaned down and kissed your neck.

"Mmmm," You sighed. "Let's show 'em how good you are to me."

Kayce's lips found yours and the wranglers never made a comment about the two of you, at least to Kayce's face, again.
