The morning after her husband left, Sandra was to the kitchen with a hot cup of tea to her hands to be eyeing into it to not be there mentally, things Diego said we're going through, Sandra then looked over to the side to see her kids sleeping on an air mattress with her mother for Sandra to make a face to then turn to start to get breakfast going.
Sandra was plauged with so many thoughts, she was worried how this was going to affect the girls, Sandra also wasn't going to say anything about the divorce quite yet. She wanted to have some peace first and start to think about her next move, Sandra knew she needed to get a job, she didn't know if she could stay in this house any more, she just started to think about a lot of things, that all went out the window has she turned her head to see her oldest get up to go to the bathroom.
Sandra couldn't help but to smile about that to then look back down to continue to eye the food she was making.
The day progressed really slow, Sandra tried to mentally stay present but it was hard, she was also looking to her phone to start to think about what type of a job to get. She knew she needed to do that, Sandra was worried though given her father's health and she didn't know who was going to watch her girls, even her mother couldn't always do that given she lived so far away.
Sandra signed to then place her phone down to go to get kids to start to play with them to get her mind off of things, after they played for awhile her mother got them out for her father to then text her for Sandra to go to to look to him
"Yes?"
"So.... What is going to happen next?"
"I don't know, think Diego is getting a lawyer, he is staying at his mom's, however something feels off with that. But I don't know, because of the restraining order he can't talk to me. I did tell him he can call for he girls on your phone. Has he?"
"No. I haven't gotten any calls or messages. Sandra..... Are you really sure about this?"
"Not really, but dad, him and I living together under the same roof with the girls is not a great idea. I'm not trying to take them away from him, I want everything to be 50/50, I want the girls to have both there parents in there lives, we need to go through this. Doesn't help he's mad"
"Yeah. Things are just going to get worse sandra."
Sandra looked over her father has he was one of her biggest supporters of this to take in a deep breathe to turn to leave.
"I know it will. But has long has I can have the girls right now I'm hoping for the future."
Sandra went to her room to a moment to sit to her new bed to then look through the window to shake her head. Sandra told her father everything Diego did to her and he even saw how he yelled, belittled, forced himself on her etc and now her father was saying this.
Sandra signed to then flop to her back to eye the ceiling.
I just want everyone to go well, I want this to end and quick, I just want the girls to have a childhood and a great life. Him and I just can't do this any more. Hopefully one day he will understand that.
Sandra made a hard face has she was not sure of that.
She then heard the front door for her to then get up to see her sister Aisha come has she was going to help Sandra for them to go upstairs to put together Sarah's bed, Sandra took the air mattress she had been sleeping on to then fix her daughter's room so they had more room and Sarah was old enough not to be in her crib.
Aisha had troubles with it for them to talk a bit, nothing about the divorce has Sandra's mother came back for the girls to pounce has Aisha was there favorite aunt.
After everything the two went outside to talk.
"So what is happening?"
"Nothing right now, my lawyer will get in touched. Right now I need to find a job, need to figure out what to do with the girls and who could baby sit them has you know dads health."
She nodded.
"Have you've told them yet?"
"No not yet. I don't know how to explain this to a 4 year old and a 6 year old in a good way. Really wish could be honest but I don't think that will work."
"Yeah there not going to understand that."
"Well, I was thinking to tell the girls he is doing something with his work like it's a vacation or something if they ask where he is, they don't even notice right now, mainly given he was always gone or working."
"This did just happen so you do have some time. Just think about yourself and your girls.'
"Yeah....... Just worried about this whole situation, I just don't want to lose my kids. Diego is very mad right now."
"Sandra you are not going to lose your girls, you just need to think about them, yourself and not freak out. I love you."
Sandra nodded to watch her leave to stand there for a moment to then turn to look over her place to sign.
She didn't know how long she was going to be able to stay there, Sandra then closed her eyes to take in a very deep breathe.
You needed to do this for your girls, for Emily and Sarah, they need to be in a healthy environment, living with there father is not at all healthy, it's very toxic.
Sandra took in a very deep breathe to then open her eyes to go back inside.
