Too young for too much

Dear Alex, 

  Ok, I'm going to get straight to the point. I have a friend who doesn't exactly have a wide range of knowledge when it comes to boys and certain talks one might have with a parent when entering teen years. She is kinda naive and VERY sheltered. I'm sure at first this was a good thing for her now...not so much. See she kinda likes this guy, but I don't think he likes her back for her personality. What I'm trying to say is he is taking advantage of her. She tells me disturbing things about what they do at her house and what they do at SCHOOL during CLASS (mainly studyhall). I've tried to explain to her what she is doing us wrong, but she won't listen. She is only 13 and has probably done more with this guy then many of the juniors and seniors at our school. The thing is she thinks it's all some kind of game. It's really sick and twisted they way she acts now. Another really disturbing thing is he has a girlfriend. I'm getting really worried and don't know if I should tell an adult or not (her parents possibly?) but I don't want her to hate me. Please send an answer as soon as possible.

Dear totally confused, 

Wow she is way too young to be sexually active and extremely young to be going through all that. I don't want you to be the bad guy but I think she needs guidence. She may hate you for it but this is what good friends do. I think you should tell a concelour so then they can take care of it. The concelour doesn't have to say that she heard all this from you. But I say that this girl, if she keeps doing this, shes going to end up pregnant and I don't want that to happen. She has her whole life ahead of her and she doesn't need to be fooling around with a guy that has a girlfriend already. All this is trouble and is no one needs it to happen. If you can prevent it then go right ahead. You can prevent a lot before something bad or really bad happens. I don't think your friend is going to stop until something she will regret happens to her. So if you think it's best to tell an adult than by all means please do.
