The Girl.

Manuel arrested .

Reaching at his house from Victor's ranch , Santiago received a call from his father who was a doctor in United States , his father asked him if he could join him and continue his vacation with him , thinking about it for a second , Santiago agreed to be in Untied States by the next day , his father was delighted that at least he was to spend sometime with his son .

Santiago immediately called Fiona , gave her the news , Fiona asked him if he was leaving because she wasn't giving him a chance to be his girlfriend .

"It's not like that Fiona , I think I've been missing my father a lot , I live here in this house all by myself , my father has been working in the  States for quite sometime now , so I think it will be good for me to spend sometime with him, and don't worry about me , we can keeping talking from that tablet I gave you , hope you keep online," he had to give a concrete explanation .

"I understand Santiago and I promise , I will try to keep online , have a really good time with your father ."

When done talking with Santiago , Fiona looked through her phone again and called doctor Tatiana, asked her about any news about Manuel , Tatiana confirmed it that Manuel was really missing and Alzate was doing his best to find him .

"By the way Doctor ." Fiona accepted that Manuel's really missing but remembered something. "I also wanted to give you the good news," she tried to have a smile.

"What good news ?" a curious Tatiana asked.

"I got the scholarship, am really excited about this doctor , who would have thought ?, now all the money I will be making it will be for the expense at the house but not for my tuition , am really happy about this doctor ."

"You deserve it Fiona , you've been through a lot and you've proven to me that you're an amazing girl ."

"Thank you doctor but for now I think am going to hang up , I need to start looking for Manuel too , i will be asking around. "

"It's okay but make sure you don't confront people you're not supposed to , I know you Fiona."

"I will behave doctor ."

The next day , waiting outside to cross the road to the other side  of the street , Santiago's car parked right next to her , he got out to talk to her, Fiona was surprised to see him .

"What are you doing here Santiago ? I thought you had already gone ." She asked .

"I came to say goodbye but you look so worried ,what's wrong?" He noticed her eyes were getting wet. "Don't tell me that you're worried because am leaving ."

"Not really , am simply happy for you , I know how it is to live without your parents , so go out there and meet your father and have a good time ."

"I think I should also be happy , please be happy , it's all I ask from you as I leave , I don't like seeing you with that sad face," he got closer to hug her .

"I promise I will," hesitantly she hugged him back .

Adriana who was coming at Ms Meriya's house to find out any development on Manuel's whereabouts saw the two hugging from a distance and she smiled .

"After all Fiona , she isn't a saint either ." She talked to herself and returned back home to her apartment .

Just after Adriana had entered the apartment away from what she'd just seen between Fiona and a classmate of hers , on locking the door from inside , she had a knock on the door , she asked who it was .

"It's Manuel," the voice from outside replied .

Lieutenant Rios had brought Manuel back to his apartment from where he was keeping him a hostage , he got him out from inside a car boot where  Manuel hadn't been comfortable throughout the journey back to his apartment, it reminded him of all the time he was kept in small rooms , reminded him of the day when he was locked up in a bathroom and in a coffin , so when Rios opened the boot to let him out , he felt like coming out of a grave and took a deep breathe after lieutenant Rios asked him to leave .
