The Baptism

Before going to church .Fiona came to the kitchen and asked Manuel if he needed help in preparing the party ,she was willing to do anything to help before going to church but Manuel told her she didn't have to. Melisa was there to help , all she had to do was not to be late for mass since she was to be the child's godmother .

Melisa who was marinating the meat knew that Fiona was Manuel's girlfriend . Manuel talked about her on many occasions and the two were introduced to each other by Manuel the day when they met at Manuel's apartment , whenever Manuel and Fiona were talking , she gave them some space to respect their relationship, this time around as she was marinating the meat , she was eavesdropping from a distance , her eyes were never off Fiona , looking at her like a jealous girlfriend, after saying 'hello' to her from a distance . Fiona left and when she left . Melisa came and asked Manuel want she wanted , he told her she wanted to help but he didn't allow her because she was to be late for mass .Manuel told her to continue doing their work otherwise those at the church were to come back when they're not yet done .

At the church , guests were arriving . Victor who arrived earlier was welcoming them inside the church with Mr Miguel , his mother and father were already sited at the front . Huria later arrived with Natalia . Victor asked her why her father wasn't with her , told him her father was a little tired but sends his regards to Ms Meriya , earlier in the morning before Huria was joined with Natalia , back inside her house , after dressing up elegantly in her dark fashia purple dress , she found her father grinning to himself from a couch , asked him why he was so happy , her father told her that good things might come along way , his life could change , he had found someone who might change his life. Huria asked him whether he will be able to introduce that someone to her this time , his father agreed to do so when it's confirmed that there is something between the two and because of that someone , he was a little tired to attend the baptism celebrations.

Among the guests arriving was Alzate and Tatiana . Tatiana went with Victor to find where she was to sit with Alzate . Alzate stayed behind to help Miguel with welcoming everyone to allow Victor rest . Later Fiona and Monica arrived. Nina was already inside the church since she was the one who was to sing the first song for the baby .

When majority of the invited guests were sited , it was time to start the mass , as it was organized .Nina was to first sing , she chose to sing 'Grace like rain' from 'Todd Agnew' , everyone listening to her felt optimistic and joyful like their sins were being washed away and cleansed with the blood of Jesus Christ as she sang and when she was done , an outburst of clapping came out among the congregation for her.

"Brothers and sisters ." The priest began as the clapping faded away ." Jesus sent his disciples to all nations , asked them to teach and baptize in the name of the father and of the son and of the holy spirit ,told them those who believed and baptized ,will be saved because through baptism ,man is cleansed from his sins , made partakers in their meritorious redemption of Jesus Christ ." He continued .

When he was done with his teaching , he asked the parents of the child to come forward with their child , the godfather and the godmother of the child were also called forward , the priest asked what name shall be named the child , the parents told him the name.

"I beseech those present to unite themselves in prayer with me to bless this child and the Lord now who takes him into the number of his elect may preserve him , defend him , protect him and strength him that he grows up to the joy of both his parents ." The priest continued with the prayer. "And now I ask you the parents of the child , do you promise to raise this child through the eternal life in the church of God through faith of Jesus Christ ?"

"We do ." Miguel and Meriya replied .

He asked a similar question to the godparents of the child , they promised to do so and he went on asking the congregation on behalf of the child whether they denounce the devil , and all his works , all his pomps , whether they renounce the lust of flesh , the lust of the eyes and the pride of life .
