You woke up bright and early to make Taylor a birthday breakfast in bed. You made all of her favorites and put it all on a tray to carry upstairs.

She was sleeping with her mouth cracked open, small snores occasionally leaving her lips. You put the tray on your side of the bed and shook her shoulder gently to wake her up.

"Taylor? Tay, wake up." She slowly opened her eyes and rubbed them when the sunlight hit them. "Happy birthday!" You watched a smile appear on her face before she sat up and yawned. "I made you breakfast!"

You put the tray on her lap and Taylor gazed at you adoringly. "Oh, babe. This is so sweet. Thank you." She began to eat the toast and before she could eat her pancakes, you pulled a candle out from your hoodie pocket and put it in the center of the stack.

"Make a wish." You grinned as you lit the candle. Taylor reached out to stroke your cheek, her thumb brushing over your cheekbone. "I've already got everything I could ever want." She said as she blew it out and then tugged on your arm for you to sit by her.

You kept your head on her shoulder as she ate her breakfast and, of course, she shared it with you. When she finished she put the tray on the table by her side of the bed and kissed your cheek. "Thank you for the delicious breakfast, darling." She pulled you down to her side as she laid back.

"Of course, birthday girl. So! What do you wanna do today? It's your day, the whole day is up to you. What shall we do?" Taylor just smiled down at you and leaned down to brush her lips against yours. "Honestly? I just wanna lay here in bed with you and watch friends. It's been a long week. I don't think there's any better way to spend my birthday than here with you."

"Okay. But you have to open this first." Taylor sighed and sat back up. "I didn't want you to get me anything." You took the box from the drawer and set in her lap. "I didn't. I made it." The look on her face when she opened the gift was one of pure happiness. It was a small jar filled with notes of why you love her. "You like it?" She pulled you in for a loving kiss. "I love it. I love you. This is one of the sweetest things I've ever received. Thank you."

You grinned and put your head back on her shoulder. She ended up falling back asleep and when she awoke hours later, it was to you tugging her out of bed and down the stairs. "Y/n, I wanted to lay in bed with you." She whined as you dragged her to the kitchen. You covered her eyes before she could even sneak a peek at what you had done for her.

"I know. It's nothing too big. I just wanted to do something sweet for ya." You felt her smile against your hand. You pulled your hands away from her face a few seconds later when you stepped into the kitchen.

"Surprise!" Taylor was in awe of the fairy lights you hung around the kitchen and the cupcakes you had made special for her. "I know it isn't much but I figured you'd like it." You stated. "It's perfect. Thank you." She picked you up and carefully sat you on the counter. You giggled as she started to feed you the cupcake. "I love you so much. You are the most important person in my life, and I'm so lucky to have you. There'll never be enough words to describe how much you truly mean to me."

You wrapped your arms around her and pulled her close so you could press a ton of kisses to her face. This made Taylor giggle as she held onto you. "Happy birthday." You smiled, running your fingers through her hair. "Thank you. This has easily been one of the best birthdays I've ever had." "It's not over yet" you winked as you dragged her back upstairs to watch some more episodes of friends and cuddle together. Just like she wanted.
