it's your birthday

Wanted to throw this update out here for you all tonight because I most likely won't be updating this book tomorrow because it's actually my birthday, so enjoy and have a good day ❤️

Taylor carefully placed the tray of breakfast she prepared for you down on the edge of the bed.

It's your birthday and Taylor reserved the entire day to only spend it with you. No interviews, no time in the studio, no phone calls unless it's your family or friends - just the two of you without any distractions.

She was just as excited about the day as you, if not more. She let you sleep in while she made you breakfast but now it's almost eleven and she doesn't wanna wake you up, but she can hardly contain her excitement.

She climbed onto the bed and hovered over you. She kissed the corner of your lips and then trailed them to your cheek. She kissed across both of them softly while her fingers brushed across your sides, causing you to wake up with giggles falling from your lips.

"Good morning, beautiful girl, and happy birthday to you!"

You stretched your arms and legs out before letting your eyes flutter open. You were met with Taylor's soft blue ones. As you always do when you gaze into them, you got lost in them, mesmerized by how stunning they were. You'd stare into those beautiful blue eyes all day long if you could. "Thank you, Tay!"

She leaned in to give you a kiss but pulled away too soon. "I made you breakfast!"

You weren't sure what made your heart melt more; the fact that she had made you breakfast in bed for your birthday or the pride in her eyes that she had done something so special for you on your special day.

"Thank you, Tay. It looks delicious." You reached for the fork but she pulled it away with a glimmer. "Before you eat I have something really special for you."

She pecked your lips a couple of times before going to the closet. She came back with a box in her hands. "Open it, baby girl."

You excitedly took the box from her hand but what you were met with was something so breathtaking, you could've never prepared yourself for it. Inside was a necklace in the shape of an infinity symbol with your birthstones in it along with a special message.

"I love you infinitely - Taylor."

You spoke the words as loudly as you could, but because you were so awestruck it only came out as a whisper.

"Do you like it?"

You put one hand on the back of her neck and pulled her in for a kiss. "Taylor, it's absolutely gorgeous."

"Just like you." She whispered softly.

"You have to put it on me now!" You squealed excitedly, turning around so she could clasp the necklace into place. She sang happy birthday softly in your ear while her fingers brushed along your neck as she clasped the necklace. She then pecked your neck, letting her lips trail to your shoulder blade, before you turned back around, completely captivated.

"I love you. I've only been awake for not even thirteen minutes now and you've already made this the best birthday so far."

"You deserve it, baby doll," she pressed another kiss to your lips. "You deserve the world."

And another.

"I love you so much."

And one more.

"Now, eat your birthday breakfast, baby girl."

She didn't really give you much of a choice, because she scooped part of the pancake up with a fork and put it in your mouth, causing you both to laugh.

You crawled onto her lap and shared the breakfast together. You hadn't ever had a better start to your birthday than this, and knowing your girlfriend you knew it would only get better from here.
