Taylor kept her hand intertwined with yours as you strolled through the store together. She wanted to pick you up something special for dinner tonight.

She's got some time off for a few weeks and she's excited to be able to spend it with you. And since she's got so much time off, she wants to cook you a nice dinner tonight.

Taylor felt you start to slow down. You let go of her hand as you walked over to the sweaters. She watched as you browsed through them and ran your fingers over the soft fabric. "You gonna get one?" She asked as she walked up behind you. "I don't know."

Taylor looked down at you with a confused look. "Why not?" You looked at the tag and shook your head. "It's too expensive." Taylor watched you walk away and she looked at the sweaters and frowned.

She hates that you don't ever treat yourself to things, that you don't feel like you deserve them. She knows you have bills to pay, but she wishes you'd just let her pay them for you sometimes. But since you insist on doing that yourself, she had a different idea.

"Taylor?" She snapped out of her thoughts and looked over at you. "You coming?" She nodded her head and walked over to you, grabbing your hand and lacing your fingers back together as you went to grab some stuff for dinner.

"Oh, shoot. I forgot something. Tell you what - why don't you go out to the car and wait for me? I'll be out in just a second." She kissed your cheek softly and turned to walk away but you grabbed her hand.

"You sure you don't want me to come with you?" She nodded. "I'm sure, I'll be just fine. Go out to the car. I'll be right there." She promised and watched you walk out the doors before she ran over to grab the sweater you had your eye on, as well as a little bouquet of your favorite flowers before she went to check out.

She put the bag in the trunk and drove home.

When you got inside and went to go upstairs she grabbed your wrist. She wrapped her arms around you and led you over to the counter. "Here. I got you something." She said as she put the bag on the counter.

You pulled the sweater out and looked at her sternly. "Taylor I don't know what to say..." She looked at you with a smile. "You could say 'thank you, Taylor'." You put the sweater back down and put your hand on her side. "You didn't have to do this for me."

Taylor kissed the top of your head and smiled. "I did because you won't treat yourself and you deserve it." "Taylor-" "You deserve it." You wrapped your arms around her and buried your face in her neck. "Thank you, Taylor."

She hugged you back until she remembered the flowers. "Oh, wait!" She let you go to pull out the flowers. "Here." She grinned when you threw your arms back around her and held her close. "You really are the most amazing girlfriend."
