Taylor was still seated on the foot of the bed with her notebook in front of her and her pen twirling between her fingers.

You know she's been stressing out about a few things she has to get finished. She's hardly turned away from writing lyrics for the last couple of hours. She was on a roll, seeming to be able to jump from one song to the next pretty fast.

But you're tired of being bored. Your book only held your interest for so long and social media seemed to be flooding with toxicity these days and you just didn't want to be anywhere near it. The only sounds that filled the room were that of Taylor's breathing, humming, and the sounds of a pen scribbling against papers.

You sat on the bed next to her but she didn't turn away. She had hardly even noticed you were there. The only thing that noted your presence was the dip of the mattress when you sat down by her.

"Tay?"

Nothing.

You groaned and tried to get her attention again. "Tay?" You whined a little louder and this time you saw a hint of a smile on her face, but you didn't know if it was because of you or the lyrics that were falling right into place.

Eventually, you got frustrated. There was one surefire way to get your girlfriend's attention though.

She loves affection. Just as much as she loves giving affection, she also loves when you give it to her as well.

So you moved closer, your knee bumping against her hip as you moved her hair from one side of her neck to the other before kissing her skin softly.

You heard her sigh and watched from the corner of your eye as the pen slid out of her grip for a split second, creating a zig-zag on the page before she tightened her fingers back around it. "What are you doing?"

You fought the smirk that was pulling at your lips and continued to give her kisses, switching between butterfly kisses and regular ones, both things she always melted for.

"I don't know what you're talking about," you murmured against her skin, the vibration of your voice against it making her drop the pen right out of her hand as a feeling of electricity went through her veins. "I'm just loving on my gorgeous girlfriend."

She giggled and put the notebook down beside her. "Okay, okay. You have my attention."

You pulled away with a victorious grin and squealed a little as you went to kiss her lips but she shook her head. "No. Keep kissing my neck for a minute. I like it." She smiled, eyes sparkling so happy you couldn't help but cave...

Just like you do every time.
