Taylor knelt behind you on the floor, rubbing your back soothingly as you continued to throw up.

This is becoming a regular occurrence. It's how you seem to begin your day every day now. Some mornings are way worse than others while some aren't as bad. Today, however, is pretty bad. It's only five in the morning and you're not ready to wake up for the day, but your body seemed to have other plans.

You groaned in agony, laying your forehead against your hands. You spit a couple of times, hoping to rid your mouth of the awful taste that only made you feel sicker. Taylor heard you whine and despite the fact that she felt like she could fall right back asleep, she stayed awake to coax you through it.

You threw up again and Taylor shushed you softly. "Let it all out, darling. It's okay." You continued for a minute before you stopped. Your stomach felt a little more settled so you slowly moved to close the lid and flush the toilet. "You okay, honey?"

You moved so you could lay your forehead on her shoulder. "No. I feel awful." Taylor slowly moved her fingers through your hair. She hated seeing you so miserable. She knew it was normal and she couldn't' deny the butterflies she felt float around in her stomach every time she pictured the outcome of your little baby in your arms.

But that was still months away and right now, you weren't exactly finding much joy in the situation. "I know. I'm sorry. But it'll get better, I promise. Do you wanna brush your teeth?"

"I don't know if I can, Tay. I'm really tired."

"I'll help you." She whispered softly and stood up, carefully helping you to your feet and guiding you to the sink. She held you up as you brushed your teeth quickly. She gave you comfort by rubbing your arms and kissing your neck and shoulders until you finished a moment later.

She helped you back to bed and covered you up before she laid back down with you. She hesitated to place her hand over your stomach but when you didn't protest she gently laid her warm hand on your skin.

She rubbed it gently. She let out a breath she wasn't even aware she had been holding when you let out a breath of relief. "Feeling better, baby?"

"Yeah. I'm sorry to keep waking up like this each morning."

You closed your eyes and felt her lips press against your forehead. "Don't apologize. It's not your fault, y/n. You're pregnant. Besides, I like being there for you. It makes me feel like I'm doing my part. You're gonna be going through so much more than I will over these next few months so being there for you and holding your hair back for you while you throw up is the least I can do."

Keeping your eyes closed, you cracked a smile. "Thank you. I love you, Taylor." She pecked your lips and then your cheek. "I love you too."

She looked down at your stomach, watching as her hand moved in slow circles. While you slept, she let her mind wander with thoughts and images of what your baby would look like and how you'd grow over these past few months.

She was so excited. She was ready to take on this journey with you. Through the good and the bad of it all, she'd be by your side every step of the way.
