You couldn't help the tiny flutter in your heart when Taylor brushed her hand along your thigh. You could've sworn that you felt her fingers shaking slightly, but you brushed it off to it being because of the fact that you were surrounded by your large family once again.

Another family gathering was being thrown by your aunt and uncle. Taylor was eager to come to this one, so eager that she refused to let you refuse to go.

So, here you are now. Surrounded by the loud roar of laughter at the dinner table while love and joy-filled your heart. Your head was on Taylor's shoulder. You looked up at her, grabbing a fry from her plate and sticking in your mouth only for her to tickle your side playfully. "Hey! That's mine, you silly girl." You laughed and continued to steal a few fries until you heard that same familiar voice that you were overjoyed to hear last time.

"Y/N, Taylor," Your uncle said causing you to look up. He was sat across from you. He looked really jittery, really happy, for a reason you couldn't quite put your finger on. You figured that it was because he was excited to be back with so many loved ones. You know how much he cherishes his family!

"Last time I saw you two, someone was calling someone her wife." He reflected back on the moment causing other people around you to chuckle.

Ah, yes, that tiny little fumble you made over your words was surely not gonna be forgotten by anyone. It's been two months, yet Taylor still likes to remind you of that day, but with the biggest grin on her face as she does so.

"I'm assuming no wedding still... considering I didn't get an invite."

Everyone laughed and Taylor started to rub your side, looking down at you with those big blue eyes you could gaze into forever.

"Not yet." She said. "But... I want that to change."

Everyone around you was intrigued.

Something was going on.

"There aren't enough words to tell you just how much I love you. That day that you called me your wife... I had already started to think about doing this. The words seemed to fall from your lips so naturally like you say them so often, and that's when I knew..." She paused, scooting her seat back, and taking a deep breath before she continued.

"I couldn't ever imagine my life without you. Sometimes I think about the future... there's a lot I wanna do. There's a lot I'm unsure of. But one thing that I know for certain is that I don't wanna live any of that without you by my side. You're my best friend and I love you more than words could ever say. So, y/n," she paused and got onto one knee in front of you, pulling out a ring from her pocket that had to be the most beautiful ring you'd ever seen before.

You could hear gasps around you. Tears were in your eyes. This moment is one you've always dreamt of. It was always Taylor that you pictured it with.

"Will you marry me?"

"Yes!" You screamed excitedly before throwing your arms around her.

You laughed when you heard your family cheer and clap. You felt Taylor's soft lips touch yours before she was sliding the ring onto your finger. "I love you!" You cried.

She reached up to wipe a tear from your cheek just as one fell down hers. "I love you too. I can't believe how lucky I am." She hugged you close as you both soaked up the moment.

"Thank you for not telling her."

You looked at your uncle who was just nodding his head, his smile unbreakable.

"You knew?"

"I got curious if she had asked you yet. She showed me the ring. It was hard to keep it a secret, but it was worth it."

You laid your cheek on Taylor's shoulder as her arms wrapped around you. Family was congratulating you but giving you both space to live in your special moment. You were on cloud nine, looking from the stunning ring on your finger to your stunning fiancee.

You felt like the luckiest and happiest girl in the world.
