you kiss her unexpectedly

The movie played quietly in the background while you and Taylor shared jokes and new desserts from the new bakery down the street.

Since there was a storm heading your way, you decided to spend date night indoors. Taylor was a little bummed at first because she'd planned out this really romantic picnic for you to enjoy in the park. But, to you, this was just as great.

On the couch with good movies playing, curled up in your sweats as you ate takeout and dessert in the comfort of your own home. It was just as perfect; if not more.

"I really love you," Taylor whispered. "I know we don't get these nights all that often, but they will come around more soon since I have more time off coming up. I'm sorry the storm ruined our plans but I will treat you to a picnic in the park next time."

"Tay," you giggled. "Don't you see, baby girl? I don't mind what we do? I just love being with you."

You leaned down to brush your lips along her arm and she giggled happily in response. You looked back up at her, watching as she tore off bits of the cookie in her hand and put them into her mouth.

"Is it good?" You wondered, watching as some of it smeared against her lips.

"Delicious! Do you want a taste?"

You nodded but instead of taking a bit of the cookie, you leaned in to kiss her lips.

She was taken aback at first, but she dropped the treat onto her lap and moved her hand to cup your cheek instead. She felt your tongue brush along her lips and she sighed softly into the kiss, eyes closed as she felt her skin start to tingle and she went to tangle her fingers in your hair... but you began to pull away soon after.

But your breath still fanned against her lips and you pecked them four times before sending her a smirk as you settled back against the couch in the same position as before.

Taylor was wide-eyed for a moment before she finally found the words to say. She chuckled to herself and continued to snack on the cookie. "I was gonna offer you a few bites of it but,"

"But my way was better, right?"

She didn't have to answer that question. It was obvious from the way she practically became putty in your hands just a moment ago.

"Absolutely, baby. Since you got to try some of mine, I wanna try some of yours."

Her words caused a smirk to pull at your lips. You closed your eyes and pouted your lips, expecting for her lips to hit yours. But, instead, her lips touched your nose and she pulled at the snack in your hand, taking a bite of it with a laugh.

"That was cruel." You pouted.

"Just messing with you, baby girl..." She whispered before hooking her fingers under your chin to bring you in for another kiss.

This one was much more passionate than the one you left on her lips, but you weren't complaining. You moved your hand to her neck to push her closer to you as a sigh fell from your lips and onto hers.

"Maybe we should have more date nights like this..." Taylor suggested, to which you giggled and nodded your head in agreement.

"I like the sound of that."
