You yawned quietly as you opened your eyes for the first time that morning.

You rubbed the sleep out of them and were met with the rays of the sunshine seeping through the curtains. You could already tell it was a beautiful day outside judging from the sounds of the birds singing and the wind blowing a gentle but warm breeze through the window.

You looked over at the angel sleeping next to you. She'd had a long few days and was finally getting the rest she deserved. She looked so soft with her hair fanned around her on her pillow, her lips parted and eyebrows furrowed slightly as she dreamt.

You laid there quietly, debating if you should get up and make breakfast for you and Taylor. But you didn't really wanna leave the bed. Mornings like these are rare and leaving the bed would mean leaving Taylor, and you didn't wanna leave her for even a second.

You were ready to count the freckles on her cheeks and down her neck when she cracked a small smile. "I can feel you staring," she mumbled groggily causing you to turn red and bite your lip awkwardly.

She opened one eye, smirking when she saw the sly grin on your face. "How could I not stare at you, Tay? You're so beautiful." She chuckled and hummed as she stretched her legs out and reached her hand over to cup your cheek, thumb rubbing your soft skin. "As are you, darling."

You moved closer to her and put your head down on her stomach. "Do you want breakfast?" She didn't reply verbally straight away. She just moved her fingers through your hair, nails lightly scratching your scalp causing your eyes to close.

"And leave this warm bed? No. At least not right now. Maybe in a little while. Today is my first day of many off and I just wanna soak that up with you for a bit."

And how could you say no? When she was warm and cozy and playing with your hair. You couldn't. Besides, you were content right where you were.

"I love you." She said as she was now lazily stroking your hair, eyes closed once again as sleep began to come back around for the both of you and slowly took over.

"I love you too." You said before falling back asleep with your head still resting comfortably on her stomach.
