You watched as Taylor reached one of her shaky hands up to brush a hair behind her ear.

She's nervous, and you can understand perfectly as to why. Today is the first time she's ever gonna be performing 'soon you'll get better'. You know how important the song is to her and how emotional it makes her. So it's not surprising to see her already feeling a tad nervous.

You walked up behind her and laid your head on her shoulder. She visibly relaxed at your touch. "You okay baby?" She shrugged and then a few seconds later let out a sigh.

"I know you're nervous, Taylor. But you're gonna do great. You always do." She nodded. "I don't think you even realize how important this song is to your fans. For you to perform it when I know it's especially difficult for you to is really wonderful of you. You're so goodhearted. So brave and strong."

She turned around and dropped her forehead to your shoulder. "Thank you." She said as you put your arms around her.

You're always so proud of your girlfriend. She leaves you in awe with her acts of kindness and her incredible songwriting abilities.  But she's also so open about her experiences, both the good and the bad, and you admire her so much for that. And you told yourself to remind her of that more often.

"I'm gonna be right here if you need me. Just out of view of the camera. But I'll still be here. If you feel like you can't do it, look over at me. I promise to keep encouraging you." She smiled and pressed a tiny kiss to your shoulder before she let go of you.

You stepped away a bit to where you wouldn't be in the frame. You watched as she sat at her piano and opened it up. She took a deep breath and when she went live a moment later she looked over at you first.

You gave her a comforting smile and she started to play. Her beautiful voice rang out through the room and made your heart flutter.

There were parts during the song where you could hear her voice crack or see her tearing up, but she looked over at you every single time, and when she saw you smile at her or mouth words of encouragement to her, she pushed through it and finished the song with a small smile.

When the recording stopped she stood and went straight over to you. A tear fell from her eye but as you stood there with her, rubbing her back soothingly and kissing her head, all she felt was pride and strength.

"You did amazing. I'm so proud of you. You've no idea how many people are gonna be finding comfort in that performance right now. You're incredible."

She chuckled and pulled you down for a small and soft kiss.

"I don't know what I would have done without your encouragement. Thank you."

You could only imagine how much that performance meant to her fans, who needed that song and her more than ever.

You know they're just as proud of her as you are.
