Taylor has sat in that same chair by your bedside for weeks. People came by trying to convince her to go home and get some rest, to go eat something other than that gross hospital food, or to take a few minutes to breathe. But she never did.

You've been in a coma for over a month now after you got in an accident caused by someone hitting your car when they were drunk driving.

She tried to ignore the doubt she hears from your family and friends as well as her own. She knew there wasn't much hope left but she wasn't giving up on you. She couldn't.

But it was when the doctor came in to tell her that they really needed to consider taking you off of life support. It's the only thing keeping you holding on and it was time to let go. Taylor refused, she broke down and fell apart for the first time. She held in her emotions for so long, telling herself that she had to be strong. For you. But she was quickly weakening and she knew, even though she didn't wanna admit that, that you were quickly fading with each passing day.

"Hey, Taylor. How are you holding up?" Andrea asked as she came in and took a seat next to her daughter that was clearly broken. "Not good." Andrea nodded her head. It's the same answer she's always gotten and it broke her heart every time. "The doctor says we should think about letting her go." She looked at her mom with tears in her eyes. They both felt helpless, both losing hope.

"Maybe... you should consider that?" Taylor shook her head, immediately going to shoot her mom down. "Honey, you have to start thinking about this. I know you don't want to face it, I get that. I don't want to either, in all honesty. But we have to realize that she's not gonna pull through. She's been in this coma for over a month now. You don't want her to be like this forever, right?"

The first of many tears fell from Taylor's eyes. "No." Taylor whimpered and held your hand tighter. "I know it's hard... but she deserves better than this. We need to let her go." Taylor broke, bringing your hand to her lips as each tear that fell from her eye hit your skin. "I can't. I love her so much. I don't wanna lose her." She sobbed, crying so hard that it felt like her chest was gonna cave in. Her body ached, but not nearly as bad as her heart did.

To see you like this for so long has taken a toll on her. She hurts everywhere but she was willing to go through all of that pain and even more if it would've meant you'd wake up. Your family and friends lost hope weeks ago. But not Taylor. She couldn't. She refused to.

"I know. I know you do, sweetheart. I know you love her with every piece of you, and she loves you just as much, if not more. But she's hurting, baby. You know she wouldn't want you to be spending every second of every day crying and hurting like this. And you know she's ready to let go. It's time we let her."

Taylor sobbed, gnawing at her lip so hard it was starting to bleed. But she knew her mom was right. So she nodded her head but looked at her mom worryingly. "Can I have a little while to talk to her? To tell her how much I love her?" She wasn't asking. She was begging. Andrea nodded her head and kissed Taylor's softly before looking at you. She walked to the other side of the bed and said something Taylor couldn't quite hear over the sound of her heart pounding in her ears before Andrea kissed your temple and walked out of the room to tell the doctor that it was time.

Taylor sat there with your hand in hers, holding tighter than she ever had before. "Darling? I hope you can hear me. I'm sorry I have to do this. It hurts, baby. It really kills me inside to have to do this." She bit her lip, another tear falling from her eye. "You're so beautiful. You are the most beautiful girl I've ever seen and I love you so much. I know how lucky I am to have gotten to spend these past few years with you. to have loved you and gotten to know you better than anyone else ever has. Please know that I'm never ever gonna take that for granted." She paused to fight back a sob.

"You're the best thing that has ever happened to me. Ever. I know I've been so lucky to have a lot of things in my life, but none of them have or ever will compare to you. I can't tell you how sorry I am that I wasn't there with you that night when the accident happen. I need you to know that. I need you to know how much i love you. I hate letting you go. God, even just letting you go when I had to leave for a tour for a few months sucked. But this... I can't describe it. I know you're hurting and that's why I have to do this. Because I don't want you to hurt anymore." She cried, planting several kisses to your hand.

"I know a lot of my good days will be filled with a lot of sadness and hurt. But I'll try to make them good. I know you'd want me to... you're amazing like that." She sniffled. "You've always been my angel here on earth, I know you're gonna be one up there too." She moved a strand of your hair behind your ear. "I'll never forget you and I will never stop loving you. I love you, beautiful girl." She cried and moved closer to your bed so she could wrap her arms around you, knowing it'd be the last time she ever would.

She felt a hand on her back and turned to find your parents and closest friends behind her as well as her mom and dad and Austin, too. She gently kissed your head and mumbled a few more 'I love you's' and 'I'm sorry' against your hair before she pulled away.

She watched the doctor go to your bedside and she closed her eyes, saying a silent prayer - something she hadn't done much in her life but she's started to do recently when she felt like she had nowhere else to turn.

And then, that awful sound was all she heard. The sound of a flatline as everyone began to cry. Taylor fell to her knees and sobbed as her dad quickly fell beside her. He helped her up and out of the room as everything became too much for her to handle.

She knew it was best for you, but she knew she'd never get over losing you.
