Taylor brushed her thumb across your lower lip, wordlessly causing you to release it from between your teeth.

She knew you were hurting and it was heartbreaking to see. But she knew it was for a good reason. Because today, in just a few hours, your baby would finally be born.

It's been over a year since you lost your baby. The toll it took on both you and Taylor was indescribable. You were both heartbroken. You cried a lot and you feared that it would take a toll on your relationship.

But Taylor had promised you that it wouldn't, and true to her word, as she always is, she was by your side every step of the way through the heartbreak and the pain. She held your hand and comforted you through it all.

And then, one day, just a few months later - you found out that you were pregnant again. It was scary at first. You kept it extremely private and it was until after your fourth month when things were very safe and you were starting to really show, that you let your families, friends, and the world in on your beautiful little secret.

Everything has been perfect this time around. You were both thrilled, filled with so much joy that you couldn't even put it into words. You dreamt of this moment. The one when your little one would be gracing the world and would soon be in your arms. But you felt a little differently now.

You were still excited, but you were hurting so terribly that it was hard to see any upsides through the pain.

You groaned and squeezed the life out of Taylor's hands once again. She didn't complain though. "That's it, baby. Keep breathing." She encouraged. She was trying to keep you calm and anchored here with her. "You're doing so well, y/n. I'm so proud of you." She said as she wiped the back of your neck with a cool cloth then dragged it across your face. She heard the soft sigh that fell from your lips and she felt good knowing that it was from something she'd done to help.

"Thank you. But I don't feel like it. It hurts so much, Tay. I don't think I can do it any longer, it's just too much." You cried and it broke Taylor's heart. "Y/n, look at me." She whispered and when you looked up at her, she hooked her fingers under your chin to ensure that you couldn't look away.

"You can do it. I know it hurts and I know you're overwhelmed, but I'm right here with you. We're in this together. I promised you that I wouldn't leave your side, not even for a single second, and I meant it. I'm not going anywhere." She promised and leaned forward to give you a little kiss.

She pulled away just a second or two before another groan fell from your lips. "It'll be over soon." She whispered in your ear as she tucked a strand of hair behind your ear, knowing you were only getting closer and closer to your baby arriving.

And finally, a grueling four hours later, you were laying on the hospital bed with Taylor by your side and your little girl on your chest. Taylor was in awe. Your baby had only entered the world not even ten minutes ago, and she'd already left Taylor speechless.

"She's so beautiful," Taylor mumbled and leaned down to kiss her head. She looked back up at you, her heart feeling as if it might just burst right from her chest. "I told you so." She mumbled, causing you to lift your head up and furrow your eyebrows. "What do you mean?" You wondered with a soft giggle.

"I told you that we'd get this moment. That we'd have a baby one day. I told you we'll have our own family, and look at us now. You just gave birth to our little girl and I've never been more in love with you than I am now."

With tears in your eyes, you looked away from Taylor and down to your little girl who was still laying on your chest. "Thank you, Tay. Thank you for everything; for keeping me sane during these last few hours, for being by my side through this last year when I've needed you the most. Thank you for being everything I've always wanted. I love you so much."

Taylor smiled to herself and leaned down to give you a little kiss. "I love you, too." She whispered, brushing her hand through your slightly sweat-soaked hair.

She just sat in silence, watching you and your little girl in awe. She's always known you were strong; between the harsh times you've faced together from your relationship being in the public eye and then the loss you both grieved just last year, and now what you went through to get your little girl here - the little girl you've been dreaming of having for so long now.

But her tears started to really fall as you leaned down to give your daughter a kiss on her head and moved your fingers through the few strands of blonde hair that laid on her head. "I love you so much already."

She sniffled and wiped away a stray tear. "Me too. We love you already, our beautiful baby girl."

"Maybe that's what we should name her."

"Hmm?" Taylor smiled as she brushed your little girl's cheek softly.

"Bella. It means beautiful."

Taylor chuckled and looked down at your little girl. She truly was beautiful and she was looking at you both with the most gorgeous eyes, the most beautiful blue ones Taylor had ever seen... they looked just like hers.

"Bella... I think it's perfect."

You leaned your head on her shoulder and her head fell to yours. You both laid there in comfortable silence, feeling more in love with each other and the baby in your arms, than ever before.

You were ready for this new journey ahead.

You couldn't be more excited to experience it all with Taylor.
