she's cold

Taylor shivered as she slowly opened her eyes. She can feel the breeze coming through the window. It's way colder than it was when you went to bed a couple of hours ago.

She got up and closed the window, rubbing her arms up and down to try to warm up. She laid back in bed and as she went to reach for the covers at the foot of the bed, she considered getting up to grab a sweater from the closet.

She was about to get up to grab it but you grabbed her wrist. Even through the darkness of the room she knew you were giving her a sleepy smile. She could hear it in your voice as you started to speak. "Where are you going? It's cold, stay here with me."

Taylor giggled and laid back down. "I was gonna grab a sweater. We left the window open, it got cold. I closed it." You rubbed your eyes and scooted closer and closer until your leg touched hers.

"I know how we can warm up," you said with a smile and reached for the covers, pulling them over you both as she wrapped her arm around you.

You laid your head on her chest and let out a little content and happy sigh. "I love you" you whispered and kissed her chin. Taylor rubbed your back. "I love you too, darling. Sweet dreams."

She kissed your head, her lips lingering for just a second, and then she rested her head on yours as you both fell back asleep.
