Freddie trembles gripping onto the door frame, '' I don't wanna go."

Paul Prenter gingerly picks him up, "Hey now. All they're going to do is a nice teeth clean and a check up. Nothing else."

Freddie clings to his papa, "Promise?"

"I promise." Paul tells him booping him on the nose.

Freddie giggles softly and let's himself be taken to the dentist.

Freddie begins to panic as he's placed in the chair and a bib is placed on him, "Papa!!" Freddie cries.

Paul squeezes his hand and comforts him as the dentist cleans and works on Fred's mouth. Freddie nearly cries when the doctor tells about removing his extra teeth, "He wants them he can keep them where they are." Paul tells the dentist.

"Okay sir. He is your son."

Freddie was happy just to pick the flavoured toothpaste the dentist used to clean his teeth, he picked bubblegum flavour he was very happy now.

Freddie looks shocked when Paul picked him back up, "Wha?"

"Your appointment is over. He's done all the work he needed to do."

"That was fast." Freddie whispers shyly seeing the dentist.

"You didn't put up a fight." Paul tells him.

Freddie looks at him, "I'll be even gooder then!!"

Paul kisses his head and gets Freddie into the car, "You want chicken nuggets baby?"

Freddie's eyes light up and he nods eagerly, "Chicky nuggies!!"

Paul smiles and finds the nearest Wendy's, he orders a shit ton of nuggets for the both of them and some fries. Freddie feasts like a tubby kid on Christmas. He stuffs his little cheeks and washes it all down some chocolate milk Paul bought him, "Hey, Fred."

Freddie looks up from his car seat crumbs litter his mouth and chubby cheeks, "If you keep being good at the dentist's we'll keep doing this."

Freddie's eyes sparkle, "I'll keep being good for teeth man."

Paul smiles and takes him to the park which made Freddie scream with happiness. Paul got the little guy on the swings and pushes him he asks to go higher and higher. Then he goes flying off being catched by another parent, Paul runs over and goes to check and comfort Freddie.

Freddie pants his eyes wide, "Again, papa! Again!"

Paul apologizes to the man that caught Freddie and takes the lad to the sand box where the little one makes messy sand castle and screams if anyone goes near him, the other kids must smell the nuggets and fries Freddie shoved into his overall pocket, he munches on sandy nuggets. Until Paul catches him and makes him throw the nuggets away.

"Meanie." Freddie pouts,

"I don't want to get you sick." Paul tells him wiping Fred's mouth.

"Butthole!!" Fred screams he rubs at his eyes sleepily.

Paul picks him up and takes him to the car, he drives him home and preps Freddie for bed since it was now 8 at night.

Freddie nurses on his paci and cuddles his cat plushie, "Story?"

"Sun and Moon?" Paul asks and Freddie nods snuggling into his blankets some, "A long, long time ago, the Sun and the Moon walked the earth, living among humans as equals. Without their light, the Earth turned peacefully beneath the light of the stars." Paul begins kissing his forehead and pulling up the blankets better.

"For generations, the people of the world were happy this way, watched over by their two guardians. The first guardian was mysterious and beautiful, with flowing hair that glistened silvery white, glowing eyes of deepest blue and skin paler than milk." Freddie could picture the first guardian in his head she was tall and strong, firm and tough like a mother.

"Every step she took caused new stars to burst from the ground and leap into the sky, and her people worshipped her as a symbol of feminine beauty. They called her Moon." Paul tells him turning on the star lights on Fred's ceiling, making Fred gasp and squeals.

"The second guardian was strong and handsome, with warm golden eyes, copper-brown skin and a mane of soft black curls. Even his very laugh could make spring roses bloom from their buds, and his followers adored him for his easy ways and the bright glorious smile with which he could light up the whole world." Freddie shudders and clings to his plush his eyes nearly fluttering shut but he forced them to stay opened.

"He was the Sun, and despite their differences, he shared with the Moon a great friendship and respect. Although the humans loved their Sun and Moon, they took little notice of the other force with whom they shared their land. The Wind was vicious, and he had long been jealous of the power the Sun and the Moon held over the earth, and of the love that the people had for them."

Freddie gasps, "Wind meanie!!"

"Yes the Wind was mean." Paul tells him, "Nobody loved the Wind, for he blew icy breath across the land, and howled in the ears of children. One day, the Wind began wondering how he could claim the land as his own."

Freddie yawns but he wants to hear the rest of the story, ""If the Sun and the Moon go to war," the Wind pondered to himself, "they will destroy each other and I will be free to take their lands and people for myself!" The Wind plotted and schemed and plotted some more, forming a deadly plan. He sent a message to the Sun and Moon, sending them on an urgent fool's errand to the North. Slipping through windows and under doors, the Wind whispered poisonous lies into the ears of the people, turning them, against each other."

Freddie slowly closes his eyes, "To the Moon's tribe, he claimed that the Sun himself had lured the Moon away from her home and was planning to lock her in the darkest cave far away, where her light could never shine. "Surely not!" they cried, horrified. "It is so," he assured them, "and I hear that the Sun followers will lead a march, here, soon! They seek a battle to destroy the Moon's home so that the Sun alone might rule." Aghast, the Moon's followers began gathering their forces, determined to defend their goddess against their former allies."

Paul smiles softly hearing the little snores come from Freddie he makes sure the boy is tucked in tight and he leaves the room to go tend the house and make himself a snack that he didn't have to share.
