Alita's Point of View

"Daryl. Alita." Someone called, I looked over at Aaron, he closes the door and steps closer.

"Hey." He greets, and I waved a little.

"Thought you were goin' to that party over there." Daryl says.

"Oh, I was never going to go 'cause of Eric's ankle, thank God." He tells us, I raise an eyebrow.

"Well, thanks ***hole." Daryl says as I sat, he gives me an apologetic smile.

"Why the **** did you tell us to go, then?" Daryl asks.

"I said try, you did. It's the thought that counts thing." Aaron explains.

"Alright." Daryl responds going to leave.

"Hey, come in. Have some dinner." A silence follows the offer.

"Come on, man. It's some pretty serious spaghetti." Aaron adds.

I smile slightly, I look up at Daryl as Aaron heads inside, I grabbed Daryl's hand.

"Come on, I'm not going in by myself this time." I told him tugging him up the steps...

-Time skip.-

I slowly eat my food while staring at my husband who shovels food into his mouth.

I shared a look with Eric and Aaron, I gave them a little smile, but it falters when Daryl starts to slurp up some noodles.

I kicked his shin, he looks at me, I widen my eyes warning him, but he shrugs and goes back to eating.

I have to keep myself from groaning in embarrassment.

"Thanks." Daryl says wiping his mouth on his sleeve.

I shook out of my little moment to smile at our hosts.

"Yeah, thank y'all for lettin' us join you. This is definitely better than that party." I said as I chuckled a little, they give me a smile.

"Well, one of the others told us that we missed your performance Alita, so we thought that we owed you." Aaron tells me.

"No, no, not all, you guys don't owe anything, besides some of them actually wanted to embarrass Daryl and I in some way..." I replied to them.

"How? If you don't mind me asking." Eric asked me, as I sighed.

"Wait, please don't tell us that they tried to convince you to dance to Disney song with him, right?" Eric also asked me, as I nodded in surprise.

"Please if you don't mind me asking, is that a normal thing around here when you guys get new people, right?" I asked as both Aaron and Eric shook their heads.

"No, don't worry Alita, it's not a normal occurrence, but I guess since you have danced before that they want you to dance..." Aaron assures me, as I sighed.

"Thank you for assuring me." I stated to the two, and they nodded taking note of that, the three of us smiling.

Daryl looks at me, and I could tell he was a bit shocked at the mention of me dancing, so Aaron, Eric, and I informed him that I used to danced for a while as it was up on the channel that I had before the turn.

After a while of talking about some other stuff, Eric looked up at Aaron for a bit.

"Mmm, when you're out there, uh, if you happen to be in a store or something, Mrs. Neudermyer is really looking for a pasta maker. And we're all really trying to get her to shut up about it." Eric starts.

"I mean, we have crates of dried pasta in here, but she wants to make her own or something. I really think she just wants something to talk about, so... If you see one on your travels, it would go a long way to..." Eric trails off seeing the look Aaron is giving him.

As Daryl sets down his glance of wine, after swishing his mouth out he swallows the alcohol, I smile politely at Eric.

"I thought it was done. You didn't ask them already? I thought Samuel said for you to do it as well." Eric asks, I look between the two, Aaron shakes his head.

"Ask us what?" Daryl questions the two.

Then Aaron lead us to their garage, flipping on the light, as Aaron let us in.

I follow behind Daryl looking around before my eyes land on a bike that sits under a couple of tarp, we head farther into the room.

"When I got the place, there was that frame and some parts and equipment. Whoever lived here built them." Aaron tells him, Daryl and I started messing with some of the parts.

"Lot parts for one bike." Daryl comments, as Aaron breathes a laugh.

"Whenever I came across any parts out there, I brought them back. I didn't know what I'd need. I always thought I'd learn how to do it, but I get the feeling you already know what to do with it. And the thing is, you're going to need a bike." Aaron says, and I looked over at Aaron.

"Why?" Daryl asks.

"I told Deanna and Samuel not to give you two jobs because I think I have one for both of you. I'd like you, and Alita to be Alexandria's other recruiters. I don't want Eric or Nate risking their lives anymore." He tells us, and I nodded a little.

"You want me risking mine and my wife's right?" Daryl says.

"Yeah, because you two know what you're doing. You're good out there. But you don't belong out there. I know it's hard getting used to people and getting used to you. And I understand right now you need to be out there sometimes. So do I." Aaron says, Daryl lifts up one of the tarp a little.

"But the main reason why I want you two to help me recruit is because you do know the difference between a good person and a bad person." Aaron states, Daryl thinks it over for a second, chewing on his lip.

"I got nothin' else to do." Daryl said agreeing.

"Thanks." He adds.

"Yeah." Aaron mumbles, he turns to me.

"If he's in, I'm in." I muttered, and Aaron nods.

"I'll get you some rabbits." Daryl tells him.

"Great." Aaron laughs.

-Time skip.-

After throwing off these clothes and putting on a shirt and pair of shorts, I fall into bed next to Daryl, I fell into a bed, finally.

It's not long before the dogs join us making Daryl groans in annoyance, but I know he'll just be cuddle up to one by the time we wake up.

He pulls me closer to him, I rested my head on his chest.

"It's... It's a lot, right. I mean it's not just me." I mumbled, and Daryl looks up at me.

"What?" Daryl asks me.

"This place, this house, this bed, these people..." I trail off.

"I'm grateful as **** for this place, but ****... It's a lot." I muttered, he grunts pulling me closer.

"I know." He whispers, I turn to hold him closer, kissing his chest I began to drift off.
