Hello fellow Spookify. This is Lyndon again. Sorry, my stories are getting a lot. It's just now that I thought to open up to the wonders that are happening to me.For those who don't know, I am working as a health office assistant in a hospital here in Ontario, Canada since January 2020.When I was new at work, someone trained me, I will change my position. Her name is Miss Devin but I call her Miss Devil because she is so grumpy. Maybe because he is old or his attitude is just like that. He is already 60 years old. That's why I got hired because he's going to retire.During the training period, he always shouts at me when I make a mistake or when I don't understand, he says (it's hard to understand English when they speak fast. Lol).I was stressed with Miss Devin during the training to the point where I thought of resigning or going back from work but of course I didn't do it. My family is my inspiration that's why I'm abroad and I'm lucky that I was welcomed in the hospital that's why I can't miss the opportunity. That's why I endured Miss Devil being cranky at me I mean Devin.I was so relieved when he had his last day. At last, no one is grumpy.Then last October, we just learned that Miss Devin was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer. Because he likes to smoke. Maybe this is also the real reason why he retired.He was confined in the hospital where I am working. Last week of October, I met Miss Devin in the hallway. I was about to go to the garden to smoke because it was my break. Miss Devin is in a wheelchair. Of course I smiled at him even though I was traumatized by him.Well, even though Miss Devin is sick, I still managed to scream!′′ Hey you, give me a push!" He commanded me a bit rude.Even though it's not my job and he shouted at me, okay, I also pushed his wheelchair. I am just afraid of Miss Devin.I asked him where his room was. She screamed all of a sudden."No. Bring me to the garden smoking area. I wanna smoke."I was surprised. He already has cancer and he will still smoke.Kaya sabi ko, "Devin, you're not allowed to smoke anymore."Aba lalong nagalit, "I dont care! Just push me to the smoking area in the garden and dont tell me what I should do or not do."I want to call a nurse or doctor but I can't find anything. And Miss Devin is already mad so I'm going to push her wheelchair in the garden. I'm already wapakels if he wants to smoke.I took him to the smoking area of the hospital garden and he smoked. Because it's my break up, I'm smoking too. I thought I'd just wait until Miss Devin smoke and maybe deliver to her room.While smoking he told me that,"Lyndon, I taught you all the things you need to learn on your job. I trust that you will do your best. Understand?"It's me, I just said, ′′ Yes, Devin, I will never let you down."Then he said he doesn't want to be in the hospital anymore and he wants to be discharged. It's hard for him and he's not getting better. It's better to just stay at home. I was asked to just run away from him since the security didn't suspect me because I was an employee of the hospital. I just said, ′′ No, Devin, you have to stay here for you to get better."This Miss Devil is crazy I want to do some evil that I'm going to get off work.After a few minutes, my housemate called my phone so I answered this. After we talked, I looked at Miss Devin and was surprised she was out of the wheelchair. I wandered around the garden with my eyes but I couldn't see its shadow. The garden is small so I should easily see it.I thought he might have escaped as much as he wanted. Because of my nervousness, I called the hospital emergency hotline.′′ Code Yellow ′′ I said. This means ′′ Missing Patient ". Then I said the name of Miss Devin and where I last saw her.I heard that ′′ Code Yellow ′′ was announced on the intercom of the hospital.After 15 seconds, a new code was announced in intercom.′′ Code Blue. Zone E Room 106. Code Blue." Code Blue means Adult Medical Emergency. It means there's a suicide patient who needs urgent medical attention in Room 106.I was shocked that day because there wasn't even a minute between two emergencies.After 5 or 10 minutes, I was also visited by security in the garden."You said that you were with Devin W--- here a while ago and now she's missing?" tanong sa akin ng security personnel."Yes. We are having a cigarette. She is sitting on this wheelchair. Then I talked to my friend over the phone and when I looked back, she is gone. She told me a while ago she wanted to escape from this hospital that is why I called emergency because I think she really did escape."′′ Are you sure you really were with Devin a while ago?" The security asks again. It's like he doesn't believe my story.′′ Yes. Why, is there any problem?" I just want to ask.So I got scared. I might be fired from work because I let Miss Devin escape."Sir," sabi ng security, "Devin just died in her room just minutes ago. The Code Blue that was called a while ago was for her. How can she be with you here in the garden and in her room fighting for her life at the same time? How can Devin be in two different places at once?"I was terrified when the security said that. That's when I realized that maybe the soul of Miss Devin is the one I was talking to in the garden.I don't know why he showed up to me before he went to the afterlife. I can't say that Miss Devin and I are close to each other because we are purely professional, and I am still annoyed with her.I guess she just loves her job that she passed me and wants to give me a last sentence. I will admit that because of my fear of him I learned a lot from him.Baka din naman as my mentor, she just wanted to take a cigarette with me for the last time...As always, pa hide po ng identity ko. Fire Alarm

Hello Spookify. Si Lyndon po ulit ito. Sa mga di pa nakakakilala sa akin, based po ako ngayon sa Ontario, Canada.This story I am about to share ay nangyari lang sa apartment ko recently.Lahat po ng bahay dito sa Canada is equipped with fire alarm. Yung apartment ko po now ay ang pinakamura kong nakita. I share this with 3 of my other housemates. Sabi sa akin ng isa kong kabahay na si Tin (not her real name) kaya daw mura ang upa sa bahay kasi nasunog daw yung dating bahay na nakatayo dito at namatay yung matandang lalaki na nakatira noon. Ganun daw kasi sa Canada, pag daw may namatay sa isang bahay, nagdedepreciate ang value or something like that.Anyway, okay naman yung bahay despite its history. Wala naman ako naramdaman na kakaiba sa bahay na iyon mula nang tumira ako (unless ung incident na nakwento ko sa "Love in the Time of Corona").Pero isang madaling araw, nagising ako sa ingay ng fire alarm namin. Chineck ko agad yung stove kung naiwang nakasindi pero hindi naman. Wala din akong naamoy na nasusunog. Pero patuloy pa rin yung fire alarm sa pag-ingay.Just to make sure, binuksan ko lahat ng pinto at bintana sa apartment para pasukan ng hangin or lumabas yung usok kung meron man na nadetect yung alarm. Delikado kasi na kapag nagpatuloy yung alarm, may darating na mga fire truck at babayaran namin yun for false alarm.Awa ng Diyos, namatay naman yung alarm.Pero naulit ulit yung pag alarm ng mga sumunod na araw. Laging madaling araw siya nag aalarm at naiistorbo na kami ng housemates ko.Kaya kinabukasan, pinacheck na namin sa landlord namin yung fire alarm kung may sira. Nagtaka din siya kasi wala naman daw sira yung alarm pero para daw makasigurado, papalitan na lang niya ng bago yung fire alarm. Napalitan yung fire alarm kinabukasan.Pero isang araw pagkatapos mapalitan yung fire alarm, tumunog ulit ito kahit wala namang nasusunog. As usual, binuksan ulit namin yung doors at windows. At inireklamo namin ulit sa landlord.Bawal naman namin i-disable ang fire alarm kasi ang alam ko against the law ata yun. Hindi na rin alam ng landlord namin ang gagawin kasi wala talaga siyang makita na sira.Pero isang madaling araw, tumunog ulit nang malakas ang fire alarm at lahat kaming housemates ay nagising. Kung nung una, wala kaming naamoy na sunog, pero this time, lahat kami ay nakaamoy ng usok. Pero di namin alam san galing kasi patay naman stove namin at wala kaming makita na defective na appliances.Habang binubuksan namin mga window at door ng bahay...."AAAAAAAHHHHH!" malakas na sigaw ni Tin.Lahat kami napatingin kay Tin. Nakita ko na takot na takot ang mukha niya at may tinuturo sa malayo.Sinundan ko ng tingin ang tinuturo ni Tin at nagulat ako sa nakita ko. Isang lalaking parang nasusunog at nakatayo malapit sa fire alarm.At bigla na lang... tumakbo ang taong apoy papunta kay Tin. Dahil sa takot, lahat kami ay napasigaw at tumakbo palabas ng bahay. Muntik na ngang di makagalaw si Tin dahil sa takot kung hindi ko lang siya hinila. Hinabol kami ng taong apoy hanggang makalayo kami sa apartment.Nakituloy muna kami sa bahay ng kakilala naming Pinoy malapit sa apartment namin. Pinaliwanag namin sa landlord namin ang nangyari. Nung una ayaw niya pa maniwala pero dahil alam naman niya ang history ng bahay namin ay naconvince namin siya.May dumating na mga firetrucks pero landlord na namin ang sumagot ng bayad for false alarm. Sa ngayon ay pinatira kami ng landlord namin sa isa niya pang bakanteng apartment. Di lang namin sure kung pababalikin niya kami sa dati naming apartment kung saan nakatira ng taong apoy. Hanggang ngayon pa rin po kasi ay takot na takot pa rin kami sa nangyari.- Lyndon
