SIRIUS, REMUS AND THE OBLIVIOUS MEN IN THEIR LIVES

Sirius and Remus spent the rest of the evening in silence as they make their way home, Arden giggling incoherently while Vidia sleeps. It become slightly worse when their babies aew put to bed and they are left alone with the inevitable.

Sirius simply sits on the sofa, his expression blank. He hasn't said so much as a single word. Remus bites his lip, sitting down beside his husband. He hesitantly begins to speak.

"Will...will you just say something, please?" Remus mumbles. His voice quiet and filled with anxiety.

Sirius shakes his head slightly. "We...we said no more, Moony, h-how are we going to do this?" He whispers in response. "I just....I got so lucky with everything with Arden and Vidia turning out so well....I....I don't know if I can handle three,"

Remus swallows. "What about me then?" He whispers quietly, staring ahead to their mantle piece; littered with photographs and memories. "What if I can't handle this? This...this isn't just effect you, Sirius,"

Sirius sighs softly, resting his head on Remus' shoulder, his face hidden by the nook of Remus' shoulder. "I'm sorry, darling," He says softly. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean yo react so poorly," He utters.

Remus simply nods, he can't help himself from sniffling. "Just a little support for you would've been nice," He replies in a gentle tone. "I know we said we'd stop at two, I...I know that,"

"But what's one more? Eh?" Sirius looks up, smiling a little. Remus simply stares, wordlessly. Sirius sits up a bit, enveloping Remus in his arms. "I'm sorry, love, this is...it's great, we can do this, I know we can. It'll be okay. I'm sorry for worrying you, I'm sorry I didn't think of you," He applies gentle kisses to the top of Remus' head. "I love you,"

"Love you too," Remus answers, breathing steadily against his husband's chest. They'll be okay. They can do this.
