MY HEART, MY HIPS, MY BODY.
MY LOVE, TRYING TO FIND A PART
OF ME THAT YOU DIDN'T TOUCH.
- DEATH BY A THOUSAND CUTS, TAYLOR SWIFT

Peter's arm is slung around his shoulder, probably for the purpose of keeping the tipsy blond held up right and vertical. Sirius is shouting at him from over the loud music. It is Lily's twenty first birthday.

"Prongs! You alright, mate? Can I get you something to drink?" Sirius' words are slured, he already has a pink gin in his grip. His third of night, if James has been counting correctly.

James shakes his head, slumping a little against Peter. Peter is strong, James is sure he can handle the weight of both of them for now. And if he can't, James will apologize when the blond sobers up.

"I'm fine, Pads," James yells back. "I'm just going to get some water," James let's Peter go. Peter is too preoccupied with now dancing with Marlene and Mary to notice. James slips away towards the bar where Remus sits, Dorcas beside him. Their pioneers.

One thing about him, Remus Lupin can drink for England. But tonight he is practicing sobriety; something about an exam late tomorrow afternoon. It will be an early night for him.

Dorcas isn't much for drinking in general. She has welcomed Remus into her little sobriety club.

Remus greets him with a cocked eyebrow. "You're looking a little green, how much have you drank?" He inquires.

James shakes his head. He feels horrible. He grips the bar a little yo stabilize himself. "I haven't drank anything tonight," He utters back. It's true. He hasn't touched off of drink this evening.

Remus sits up a little bit more on the bar stool he is currently occupying. "You really don't look so good, Prongs. I'll get you some water," He says. He turns to Dorcas, who is sipping on a mineral. "Dor, can you just watch James for a minute? I think he's feeling a little bit funny and I don't want to leave him,"

Dorcas nods, scooting over to claim Remus' seat. She brushes a hand through James' hair, frowning deeply. "James, you look terrible,"

James tries to offer her a chuckle but all that comes out is a small huff. "Thanks, Cas," He grits. "I feel like a ray of sunshine, I don't know why that isn't showing right now,"

Dorcas' frown only deepens. "Your hair is all wet and sweaty," She comments. "You're all flushed too, are you sure you haven't been overindulging with tequila, hon?" She tries.

James shakes his head once more. "I swear I'm sober," He groans a little. A soft groan. "I...I just don't feel very good. I...I think I'm gonna head home," James feels breathless. Totally and utterly breathless. There is a sharp pain developing in his belly and he begins to squirm a little, feeling himself sweat that bit more.

Dorcas nods. She looks over her shoulder. "Rems, get that water to go, we're taking James home," She calls out. She takes James in, his brow coated in a cold sweat. She shakes her head. "It could just be a flu, you just need some rest," Dorcas tells him.

James feels Dorcas rub his shoulder affectionately. Remus returns with a two bottles of water. "I'll drive," Dorcas says. "You just relax, alright? You're starting to get all shakey, love,"
