As the tears from the eyes of the prince of the Vatr clan dried up, somehow, he felt relieved. The sands in his eyes there were like little blades grinding against his corneas seemed to have disappeared. Slowly, his eyelids moved to open.
His vision was still blurry until his eyes adjusted eventually. He sat up and looked around and all he could see was infinite desert sand.
"Great... Just great!" North said sardonically.
The prince of the Vatr clan once again tried to cut himself loose from the vines but he still could not. He continued to sweat profusely. However, it would not take long before his sweat dissipated. It was an endless cycle, he perspired due to the heat of the sun, and then, his sweat evaporated in a matter of seconds. But, one thing was for sure, his body was experiencing dehydration fast.
"Dammit it!" The prince of Vatr clan began to shout in hoarse voice "What's going?! Where did everybody go?!"
Suddenly, the ground began to move. He got on his feet and he looked around. He tried to find out what was happening and where it was happening. He panicked to see that in less than 50 feet away that the sand was sinking. It was like a whirlpool in the middle of the desert.
The prince of the Vatr clan began to put his foot one after another. Slowly at first, however, as the movement in the ground became more intense, he began to pick up his pace. He looked back and he could see that the hole was becoming huge.
The prince of the Vatr clan ran with all his strength. He ran until he could not run anymore.
North stopped. He was out of breath and his throat was dry. He looked back and realized that sand stopped sinking. This gave him a sign of relief. However, he, then, began to feel lightheaded and then, he fainted in the middle of the desert.
