So, I've participated in so many fandoms since I was about 8-9 years old I think.
Well, I've been in lots. Too many to list.
And, it seems there has been an ongoing pattern in the fandoms mainly run by pre-teen or teenage GIRLS.
'How long have you been in the fandom?'
'You joined about two months ago? Fake fan! I've been here since the start!'
'I bet you don't even know their birthdays!'
Seriously, ladies. Chill out. It's not a fucking competition. Just enjoy the fandom you're in. As long as you're happy. :^)
Like, the fandoms I'm in. They're different than the normal ones you're in.
My fandoms are mainly made up of BOYS, and it's a much more complex system than simple questions about how long you've been in a fandom, how much you know about your favorite character/actor/actress/musician/etc., or about how long you spend blogging about them.

Honestly, the fnaf fandom is much more vicious and picky than the ones you're all in, in my opinion.
They don't care about how long you've been in the fandom. Yeah. Really, they don't.
It's only about if you know your lore and theories, that's a very important thing. I've seen lots of people don't understand the game all that much since they don't have the time to do research and have lives. (I don't have a life and spent a full day searching everything about Bonnie.) Though, I'm mature now. (I just turned 3 years old two days ago, and I got a 64 pack of crayons and two plush toys.) I know that some people haven't been in the fandom since the beginning and aren't familiar with the lore yet. So, I help them, try and explain with my theories as best as I can, and suggest them to read the wiki or some great theory videos on YouTube. (GAME THEORYYY !)
What also matters are ships. People judge you on your fucking ships. Why? There's some that are completely stupid, and there's the gay ships that shallow guys hate.
If you ship Foxy and Freddy, which is a gay ship, you get hated on, or people laugh at you about it. Like, thank you for hating on my favorite ship. We all have our opinions.
OH! And Foxy x Bonnie. Yes, some people make Bonnie a girl to make it an ideal ship for them which I respect. (My friend has made a story with genderbent Bonnie and I fell in love with the series.) But, sometimes it irks me seeing people's reaction's to it.
Literally, the fans are NEVER happy.
Oh yeah, it also matters how you interpret the animatronic's genders. THEY'RE FUCKING ROBOTS, WHO CARES!
I swear to god, I can't watch a youtube video without seeing someone complaining about their gender.
And Bonnie and Mangle are some of the biggest problems. Bonnie has an overly feminine name, and then Toy Bonnie had both a feminine name and feminine appearance. Guess what? Mangle too.
THERE WAS AN AMAZING FNAF 2 SONG BY THE TALENTED 'SAYONARA MAXWELL' ON YOUTUBE, AND PEOPLE IN THE COMMENTS COMPLAINED ABOUT HOW HE REFERRED MANGLE AS A 'SHE' (Ex: Foxy's baring her sharp teeth) AND HOW HE SPELT CHICA'S NAME AS 'CHIKA' (Ex: Chika's roaring with laughter).
THE GUY IS RUSSIAN, LAY OFF.
(I also used to spell her name like that at one point, I think those that read 'Haunted' would understand. I'm looking at you, El.)
Lore problems:
Person: 'Wrong! The true theory is___'
[Writes extremely long paragraph about how the person has wrong grammar, incorrect facts, and starts world war III]
Ship problems:
Person: I dun like dat ship xc
Person 2: dat ship sux xD
role player: I'm not gay!
[Causes fans that ship the said ship to bombard them with hate]
Gender problems:
Person: 'BONNIE IS A BOY U RETARD XDDDDD'
Person 2: 'MANGLE IS NOT A GIRL PG SAID HIMSELF MANGLE IS A HE'
Other:
then there's those people that say 'fnaf sucks!' and people hate on them.
There's been a debate about FNAF 4.
Literally, Scott is in a position in which people will probably start giving him bad reviews unless he releases a new game. Yet, if he does, people will be angry.
