boy problems

Hey hey, it's Cat.

Just want to start out by saying that the title of this rant does not directly relate to me. I am still single and most likely will not have personal boy troubles until next year.

Hopefully.

Anyway, so today I got to play practice and found one of my friends, who's a year younger than me, being comforted by another girl.

So I went over to her.

She told me that this guy she had liked since 4th grade had texted her the other day asking if she could tell one of her other friends that he like her (the friend).

Naturally, she got upset at him. Apparently, her crush on him had been pretty obvious and even he knew about it, yet he chose to ask her of all people to tell this other girl he liked her.

She spent pretty much all of play practice drawing broken hearts and writing a list of the negative things about him, which she added "F*** HIM" to from my suggestion.

I'm pretty sure this kid is actually older than I am, but he stayed back a couple years when he was younger for some reason.

Anyway, now I'm pissed as fuck at this guy. You can't just go around breaking some girl's heart and not expecting her to get upset at you. He didn't even apologize or talk to her in person afterwards. Just texted her, and she ignored the texts. I hate the fact that he, along with so many people, both male and female, make this jerk move so often. I can understand if it wasn't intentional, but he himself said he knew that my friend had had a crush on him.

The worst part is, though, that my friend said if he and this other girl dated and broke up and the dude came running back to her, she would take him back. I'm not an expert in love, hell, the last time I was in a relationship I was 6, but I've read enough fanfiction to know that you never take the guy back after he broke your heart. She says she has to because they're going to the same high school, but who gives a fuck? It's high school, a way bigger school than the shitty one we go to now, she can ignore him all she wants. She doesn't have to go back to him, and I hope to god she doesn't. I want to look out for her.

I also want to break this guy's neck for hurting her the way he did.

So be warned: if I ever meet you in person and you tell me about some guy that broke your heart, I'll be that friend to hunt him down and beat him up for you, lazy as I am.

I want to be the person who sticks up for her friends, no matter what.
