I hate gym class.

P.E.

Whatever the fuck you want to call it.

See, it's not because I'm lazy (well, it kind of is, but there's more reasoning than that). The problem is that I take stuff reeeeeeally seriously. Even a stupid game of Capture the Flag, which is the only decent game my gym teacher has us play.

Now, I didn't always hate gym, but when I was in 6th grade, the gym teacher who had been at my school for years retired, and he was replaced by the 20-something-year-old, Ken doll look-a-like that half the girls in the school have a crush on.

Which is creepy, since he got married last year.

Anyway, this gym teacher is the worst.

It's not because he works us super hard and makes us do a billion push ups every class or anything, more like the exact opposite.

Because, like every teacher in my school, he shows absolutely no authority.

Also, the games he makes us play are literally from a book of games meant for kindergarteners or some shit.

So today I had P.E. and he showed us this somewhat cool looking game which involved arranging hula hoops and throwing foam balls at stuff, and of course, with my class, this ended horribly.

So we were in two teams that were somewhat even (I think, a kid was absent so there was an odd number of people). Basically, this game was that you had to throw foam balls at weird formations of traffic cones and frisbee and hula hoops and stuff. There were 3 jobs: an attacker, who threw the balls; a defender, who protected the formation things from getting knocked over; the builders, who fixed the formations if the other team managed to knock one of them over.

I wanted to be a defender.

But of course I got stuck with being a builder.

The only builder on my team.

And everyone on the other team kept aiming at the exact same formation thing that I was originally guarding.

When it got knocked over the first time, I was like "Could someone come over and rebuild this?" but no one did so I had to rebuild it myself.

While people from the other team were still trying to knock it down.

WHILE I WAS REBUILDING IT!

So I was being pegged by like 10 people at once and I kept yelling at my "teammates" to come help me out and rebuild this thing for me but everyone was like "Oh no, I don't know how to fix it" even though the teacher literally explained it like 10 minutes before.

So I was basically stuck in this cycle of finally fixing the formation thing, protecting it for about a minute, then getting it knocked down again.

Then I got hit in the face.

WHILE I WAS REBUILDING

Basically, someone was aiming for the thing I was trying to rebuild yet again and they ended up hitting me in the face with a foam ball.

Which shouldn't really hurt.

Unless you have glasses.

All in all, I want to rip P.E. out of my schedule and flush it down a clogged toilet in the boys bathroom while my Literature teacher yells at it.

I hate gym class.
