problem

Okay, I have a bit of a problem.

So you know how I'm in my school play (aka all I've been ranting about for my last 15 rants)?

So today we finally got the last piece of the set put up, which are these stairs that go up to a balcony on the stage.

And, lucky me, I get to enter every song I'm in by coming down them.

See, there's a few problems with this:

1) I have to wear 2-inch heels and my feet are too big for the steps so my whole foot won't land when I go up them.

2) The staircase is super steep and you can't even see the gaps between the steps when you look down from the top.

3) I have a deathly fear of heights.

To give you an example of this fear, last summer, when I was in England, my family went to the Olympic Park and we found this weird climbing wall thing that was maybe 7 feet tall (I was probably about 5'2" at the time) and I went to the top and I was too scared to come down.

Not to mention it wasn't even vertical, it was on a slant.

Now I don't know what I'm going to do for this one song I have to do, because when we practiced it and I came in, I was singing a solo and I could literally feel myself shaking and I could hear my voice shaking, too.

Does anyone have any sort of advice (other than practice)? I'm desperate and I'm so terrified because I'm supposed to come in on another song during my solo on these things and I'm scared I'm going to mess up or fall and hurt myself, especially since one girl fractured her foot today and I don't even know how.

Please please please give me some advice. I don't want this stupid fear to ruin my last school play for me 😰
