i spent four hours before the play at the auditorium. 2 hours on make up and my outfit. 2 hours practicing.
the make up had to be caked on my face... they wouldnt let me look at my reflection, but i bet i looked like a dying cow.
my first outfit was really cute. through out the play i go through 4 outfit changes, so i had to be quick.
when we practiced through the play, the director was very impressed and said that i did amazing. that confidence enabled me to do great in front of the crowd of people.
When everyone started filing in i got scared, really scared. i kind of had a panic attack. josh had to calm me down...
when i went out there, i just took a deep breath and started and before i knew it i was singing the first song with the pink ladies. i didnt even mess up as badly as i thought i would,
at the dance off, both josh and i got really pissed, wanna know why? i dance with one of the T-birds, and he touches my butt which wasnt in the script and he evilly smiled at me.
Also in that scene was josh and I's stage kiss and we fake kissed and moved on. i could tell he wanted to actually try kissing me but he didnt want to bother me. such a gentleman...
at the end where everyone goes out, josh and i went together and did our bows and waved.
After that josh drags me back on stage to talk with the director, and she hands him a microphone.
this is what he said:
"hello guys, i hope you guys had a fun time, because i sure did with the cast and crew! Working with Caitlynn was great, but she got sick and the understudy, also known as my girl friend took her part. And no, we didnt actually kiss. But i hope you guys had a great time, i just wanted to say that since this was the last performance, Mrs. Meador, leader of the play decided that all of the cast needs to come back on stage with their dancing buddy and dance to this song." the he pulls me up and we "slow dance" to end up here, and so does everyone else. we were instructed to do the simple two step, and when the song ends most of the guys twirl their gals and then lean her back ward and the girls are supposed to bring one of their legs up for the guy to hold, so i did.
the crowd cheered and that's when all the other couples kissed, and i looked at him and he looked at me, so we hugged.
we got the shirts, and i was on the understudy list, but i knew that i would be, one performance doesnt mean i played the patty simcox... so i willingly accepted the shirt, took a picture with the group and left with josh.
his parents wanted to invite me over for dinner so they did.
right now i am just in his room with him and his older brother that is a senior. He is supposed to watch us, but he just makes it awkward... so ya.
Anyways, i had fun. I will probably post again in like 2-3 hours about my meal with josh and his family. I just hope it goes alright. xx
