Holy crap guys this has 5k reads wow.
Ok, so this is Catherine, just so you know.
I hate when authors just randomly delete their books without any warning (*cough* Cy *cough* jk jk jk ily).
But really, sometimes it gets really annoying for me. Like I'll just be sitting in my room, scrolling through my library, looking for a book, and I reach the bottom and I see that the book has been deleted.
I understand completely if an author wants to discontinue a book or something, that's totally fine with me, it's their book, not mine. But even if the book doesn't have a ton of reads or something or the author doesn't like it, there's going to be more people who will find it and people who might like it and if you delete it, then 1) no one will ever, ever be able to read it again and 2) you won't be able to see how your own writing skills have progressed while you've been on Wattpad. I still have my first book up on my first account (cathymac8, shamelessly self promoting) and it's called The End and it's terrible and short and I was going to write a sequel but I never got around to it, but I haven't deleted it because I know that a couple people like it and I sometimes like going and looking back at my old writing and seeing how much I've improved. Maybe you'll cringe a couple times, but it's good for you as a writer.
I don't know why I chose to do this rant right now, when it's like, past midnight for me (time zones yay) but it was just on my mind suddenly and I feel like I needed to say it. I really do get kind of annoyed when books I love get deleted, but I know that I can't really keep anyone from doing it. It's their book, not mine.
