I'M SO FREAKING EXCITED RIGHT NOW
So my class is going to New York City in a couple weeks (as I ranted about earlier) and we're going to the Apollo Theater while we're there.
And the best part?
We get to sing on the stage of the theater.
HOW FUCKING COOL IS THAT???
If you don't know, tons of people got started on that stage. The Jackson 5, Ella Fitzgerald, James Brown, just to name a few. I mean, come on! I want to be a singer anyway, how cool would it be to be able to sing on the same stage that Michael fucking Jackson performed on when he was 9 years old?!
I'm trying to come up with a song to sing, though. I'm kind of thinking "Summertime" (look up the Ella Fitzgerald version) but I'm not totally sure? Any suggestions (that I would be able to learn in like a week and that isn't inappropriate or in Japanese because I'm looking at you, Cyber and Ellie)?
God I'm just so excited about this :)
