honeymooners - Kai

you guys bump into someone on your honeymoon

"could we please move here?" I say walking hand in hand along the beach with my husband, wow gonna need to get used to that, i can hear his laugh coming from behind me so i turn around as he's staring out at the sea

"want to move here huh? away from your family and friends?" he asks turning to me and staring at me with those gorgeous blue eyes and i nod

"can't you just picture the life we could build here?" i say and he pulls me back slightly so he can wrap his arm around my waist 

"yes i can but i also know you would have to retrain to practice here, which i'm not sure you'd want to do, and you wouldn't want to be this far away from your family" he says and I sigh dramatically making him roll his eyes 

"hey we're married now you're supposed to go along with my delusions!" I say and he laughs kissing my head 

"i'm sorry babe" he says. "but it also means i can call you out on your bullshit" he says earning a shove from me. We walk for maybe another ten minutes before we arrived at the restaurant we booked for dinner. We are about a week into the honeymoon and we decided to incorporate our date night routine into this, so every friday one of us takes charge and arranges the dinner and activity, and it was my turn tonight. I booked this lovely local restaurant that we've passed a few times and said we wanted to try. Then later i've planned for us to sit on the beach and watch the sunset, i asked some of the lovely hotel staff for picnic basket inspiration and they very kindly helped me organise one and are storing it safely for me. Then once we've finished dinner i just need to collect from the reception then we'll wander down to our favorite beach. We ate and reminisced on our wedding, how it was everything we wanted, and so glad everyone kept the no drama promise. The ceremony itself was on the sunday but made a weekend arranged some get togethers on the saturday and monday just to spend as much time with everyone and just have a good time. Forgetting life for a while. 

As Kai was talking about the games night he had with the guys i couldn't help but smile watching his face light up, he's come so far from when i first met him. My chin was in my hand and i was just looking at my now husband 

"what's that look for?" he says leaning forward and taking my free hand in his

"hm? what look?" I say and he smiles 

"you've got your lovey dovey eyes" he says and i smile 

"just thinking about how far you've come and i couldn't be prouder" I say and he moves his head slightly before bringing my hand to his face and kissing the back of it 

"and i have you to thank for that" he says and i shake my head 

"just take the compliment Parker" I say before removing my chin from hand and taking his hand in both of mine "no but seriously when we first met my friends absolutely hated you and as you know i wasn't your biggest fan either, then when we got together they weren't the most supportive" I say and he nods following along

"yeah, got a few punches to the face if i remember correctly" he says laughing and i smile

"you went from that to having Damon as your best man, I'm just happy that the most important people in my life are now that for you" I say and he leans forward kissing me 

"me to Parker" he says smirking and my smile widens 

"oo i'll never get tired of hearing that" i say and he says 

"i'll never stop saying it" he says and as he leans in again kissing me. When we pull apart he turns to the side and says "oh shit". Confused i turn to see where he's looking and in the distance I see Klaus looking at one of the stalls, hand in hand with someone who i'm gonna guess is the Camille i've heard Damon and Stefan talk about. 

"wha-? how-? why?" i say and he shakes his head 

"i don't know and don't wanna find out so let's get the bill?" he asks and i nod turning around trying to flag down a waiter. When he spots me he nods going to get the card machine so i reach down to grab my wallet from my bag, i feel Kai place his hand on my thigh and before i can do anything a voice says 

"well this is a lovely surprise, how are the newlyweds?"  i slowly sit back up and see Klaus and Camille? stood in front of our table 

"yes quite a surprise" Kai says and I can feel his grip tightened on my thank so I place one of my hands on top of his

"what're4you doing here? "I say getting right to the point 

"that'll be me i dragged him away with me, finally got some time of work so wanted to make the most of it" she says before holding her hand out for me to shake "I'm Camille by the way it's nice to finally meet you" she says and I shake her hand 

"you too, I'm Y/n and this is Kai" i say as he offers a small nod

"sorry i couldn't make it to the wedding but as you can see i was rather busy" he says with a smile but Kai says

"you weren't invite so it's ok" he says and I send him a glare 

"pleasant as always Kai, anyway I just wanted to come offer and say congratulations and wish you a happy honeymoon. I'm sure we'll see each other when we get back" he says before taking Camille's hand and walking away. The waiter then comes back over and i pay the bill and we begin to walk back to the hotel discussing what the hell just happened. We stopped by a bench en route to facetime Stefan and Caroline to catch them up on everything. 

Even though seeing Klaus and Camille derailed our plans i didn't let it ruin the rest of the night, Kai loved the picnic and we stayed out as long as we could, well I could before needing my bed.
