night before - Enzo

the night before your wedding

My eyes began to flutter open as the sun was creeping into our hotel room, my arm moved slightly and the arm wrapped around my waist and smile immediately appears on my face. I turn in the bed so i can see my gorgeous fiance who was still asleep, i lean in and press a soft kiss to his lips and he hums in response

"good morning" he says slowly opening his eyes and smiling back at me

"morning" I say as he lets out a content sigh pulling me in closer to him and kissing my forehead 

"can we just stay here all day? i'm tired, i've been social enough over the past two days i wanna stay here with you. Who cares about the wedding stuff" he says and I pull back giving him a look and he holds his hands up in surrender "hey you know i don't mean that I just wanna be with you my love my life" he says leaning up and kissing me again and i roll my eyes sitting up and getting out the bed. Walking over to where my phones charging i check to see a few messages from the girls and various other wedding guests but immediately put it down and I'm not dealing with anything first thing in the morning 

"well we've got the family stuff out of the way so that's one less thing to worry about so all we need to do, or allowed to do according to Elena is relax" i say turning back to him and he smiles 

"well was Lena says goes" he says getting out of bed walking over to me and i smile wrapping my arms around him when he reaches me

"i won't tell her you said that" i say and says 

"please don't she's already on the maid of honour power trip" he says and i smack him jokingly 

"right i'm starving can we please head down to breakfast?" I say a nod he nods "and maybe whilst we're there you can tell me where we're going on our honeymoon?" i say giving him a quick peck on the lips and he shakes his head 

"nice try gorgeous" he says before pulling away and heading towards the bathroom. 

We're both wanting a slow morning so we took our time getting ready, then we made our way downstairs to the restaurant. Grab what we wanted and headed towards the outside patio to enjoy the fresh air. Enzo also suggested we leave our phones in the room so we can't be interrupted by our friends or anyone else which i gladly agreed to. The morning before our wedding all i want is to be with my man, and this will be the last time time we can properly chill and be together. There aren't many traditional things we are doing for our wedding but one of the traditions we are doing is the sleeping separately so the first time we see each other is for our first look and private vows. I fought for this because I thought it would be exciting and and anticipation but now I'm not so sure. Enzo looked at me like he can see my mind running and says

"what's going on in that head of yours?" he says taking my hand across the table and i smile

"just second guessing the whole sleeping apart thing tonight" i say and he immediately smiles at me

"oh yeah?" and i nod "how come you were so excited before?" he says squeezing my hand 

"at first i thought it would be really fun and add to the excitement but now am I'm like why would i want to be away from you. The whole point of all of this is meant to be a celebration and the start of the rest of our lives together why would i wanna start that by being apart?" i take a deep breath after my ramble and look back at Enzo who is just staring at me and smiling like I'm the whole world. Even after many years the way he looks still gives me butterflies "stop giving me the look, what??" i say blushing like a teenager and he brings my hands to his mouth and kisses both of them

"i love you so much" he says and i smile

"i love you, ok meltdown over" i say and he nods

"we'll do whatever you want to do, personally i would speed to wherever Elena is and tell her i'm keeping you for the night" he says and I smile 

"when we head over I'll let her know the plans changed and hey that way it frees up a room at the boarding house" I say and he nods

"see everybody wins" he says and i drop his hands

"ok ok" i say laughing "right shall we make a move?" i say and he nods, we both stand up and he holds his hand for me to take and we make our way back to our room.

Once we arrive at the house the girls are staying in we manage to make it to the front door before someone knows we're here, Enzo goes to reach for the handle and the door is yanked open and Elena is standing there smiling 

"there's the happy couple" she says moving out the way so we can walk in "sorry for all the messages this morning there was a slight hiccup with the guys suits but it's all be sorted" she says and Enzo smiles but i say

"what?" 

"we were ignoring you anyway" he says and Elena gives him a look

"we left our phones in the room to have breakfast but what happened?" I say walking over to her feeling panic rising through my body but she places her hands on my arms 

"everything is fine, there was a possibility they weren't going to make it here on time but Tyler drove to pick them up so we have them" she says and I nod

"ok good, sorry" i say and she rubs my arms

"remember when i said all i wanted for you to do is relax? she says and I nod

"hard to do that when you just stressed them out" Enzo says causing both me and Elena to flip him off, he laughs walking away to find the others and I turn to Elena 

"actually there's something i need to tell you" i say and she smiles 

"that you don't want to sleep away from Enzo tonight?" and i stare at her in confusion

"yeah how'd? did Enzo tell you?" I ask and she shakes her head

"no but i know you and I knew this would happen so i prepared" she says standing up and holding out her hands for me and I take it and she leads me through to a study room, letting go of my hand she walks over to the desk and picks something up, turning round i notice one of my bags in her hand. She hands it over to me "in there is everything you'll need for tonight" she says and I smile at her 

"you really have thought of everything" i say and she nods

"that's what best friends are for, the hotel is aware so you guys have nothing to worry about, everything else is the same all we need to do it get you two married" she says and I pull her into a hug 

"thank you" i say and she squeezes me before pulling away "come on let's go find your man" she says and we walk through the house to the garden which has been set up for us to have a lbuf unch with our whole group. A mini celebration with our chosen family. Elena walk over to Damon and i walk into Enzo's open arms smiling

"you look happy" he says and I shift in his arms so i can look at him

"why wouldn't i be?" I say and he leans down to kiss me "Lena knew i'd chicken out of us being apart so she had sorted everything out" i say and i hear him chucke 

"course she did" he says and I smile at him

"can you believe we're getting married tomorrow?" he smiles down at me

"I can't wait"
