"Kai honey?" i ask to the house, i had just got home from work and needed to talk to him, i can only assume he's cooking dinner as it smells delicious 

"welcome home babe" he says walking from the kitchen "how're you feeling?" he asks as he leans in and gives me a peck

"ok right now but um but i do have a question" i say as he takes my work bag from me and we walk towards the kitchen 

"shoot" he says placing it down on one of the chairs before heading back to the stove to check on the food before grabbing a glass for me and getting some water

"it's about a text you sent me earlier today?" i say sitting one of the stools and he places the glass in front of me

"i've sent you many texts today darling you're gonna have to be more specific i'm a witch but i'm not psychic" he says and i let out a laugh

"well, darling, you remember how we agreed not to tell anyone until at least after the 12 week scan?" i ask and he nods

"of course" he says and i smile at him

"so how's that gonna work if you invite my vampire brothers with supernatural hearing over for dinner?" i say and he laughs for a second before pausing what he's doing

"shit" he says and i nod

"yeah" i say taking a sip of water and i shrug "cancelling or giving any excuse is just gonna make them more suspicious, but you knew that right?" i say teasing slightly and he shakes his head 

"ha ha" he say putting the spoon down as he pauses mixing "i could look up and see if there's a spell i could put on you" he says thinking

"think you already did that, i'm having your baby aren't I?" i say with a smile making his roll his eyes then shakes his head

"but i'm not putting you are the baby at risk so i'm not gonna do that so i will just cancel, just say you've had to stay late at work, a meeting ran over" he says and i smile at him getting all flustered whilst cooking "i'm sorry Y/n, i've just been so excited about i forgot about the 12 week mark" he says and i walk over wrapping my arms around his waist from behind

"Kai i'm just teasing plus they've been away for a while which has helped so we were bound to slip up, and hey no harm in trying to trick them, that's your favourite thing to do right?" i say smiling and he turns in my hold giving me a look before stealing a quick kiss " i let go of him "right i'm going to go lie down for a bit as i feel a bit nauseous and you can have a think about what we're gonna do" i walking away and he takes my hand kissing the back of it

"ok, let me know if you need anything and i'll wake you up when foods ready" he says and i send him a wink before walking away.

"baby" i hear and i open my eyes slowly and see Kai sat beside me on the bed softly stroking me arm "hey sleepyhead" he says and i rub my eyes "foods ready if you feel up for it?" he says and i nod sitting up slowly 

"yes please" i say standing up and he takes my and we walk downstairs, as we reach the bottom my phone starts to ring from where i left in in the kitchen so Kai runs over to grab it and reads the contact 

"its Stefan" he says and i nod 

"must be back from their trip" i say answering the phone "hey Stef" i say as Kai hands me my bowl on food and we wander over to the table

"hey Y/n we just got back home and wanted to phone you immediately because we missed you oh so much" he says and i smile

"hahaha how was the trip, did Damon piss anybody off?" i say moving my food about the plate and i hear a lot of movement on the other side of the line
