a not to typical date night 

I woke up to the sound of my alarm, i sigh deeply already tired and not ready for the busy work day ahead of me. I roll out of bed with a sigh and get up grabbing my phone from the charger, and heading through to the kitchen to grab the overnight oats i made yesterday and make some coffee. Still so sleepy i didn't hear my boyfriend who followed me out my room

"morning to you too darling" he says and i turn around and give him a look

"i thought you were still asleep i tried not to wake you" i say filling up the kettle and he smiles walking over and wrapping his arms around my waist, resting his head on me shoulder

"im afraid your alarm did that for you but its ok i don't mind" he says placing a kiss on my neck and i smile

"morning" i say giving him a quick kiss before moving out of his grip to put the kettle on "you got plans today?" i ask and he says 

"other than the truly romantic evening i have planned for us nope, Nik is having some sort of meeting so my plans are to stay out the way so i'm not bored out my mind" he says and i pause mid bite of my breakfast and give him a look

"a romantic evening?" i ask and he smiles at yeah

"oh i didn't tell you? yeah i'm whisking you away for a romantic evening full of amazing food, music and of course the company of the most handsome man to ever exist" he says and i smile

"humble man too" i say and he says

"of course" and i laugh "so if you had any plans for this evening i suggest cancelling them" he say going over and finishing making the coffee for me so i could eat my breakfast 

"darling my only plans was to relax after a long day" i say with a smile and he walks over to me placing a mug of coffee in front of me placing a kiss on my head 

"don't worry it's not gonna be a late night and i'll bring you back here so you can have an early night" he says and i smile up at him

"aw you know me so well" i say and he smiles down at me  

"that i do" he says leaning down to give me a kiss "right i'm gonna head so you can get ready for work and i'm worried if i stay any longer next you in those tiny shorts you aren't making it to work" he says with a wink at a light tap on my arse causing me to let out a small squeak 

"cheeky" i say standing up wrapping my arm around his neck to give him a kiss "so i guess i'll be seeing you later" i say and he nods 

"come back here after work, do whatever you need to do and i'll pick up up whenever your ready" he says and i nod

"ok honey" i say and he leans down kissing me before letting me go and heading towards the door, Elena appears from the corridor just as he opens the door 

"Gilbert" he says with a nod 

"Mikaelson" she says, he sends me a wink and closing the door closing the door behind him and she turns to me and says "look at you all smiley" she says going over to the coffee to pour herself a cup

"i'm just happy" i say with a shrug and she comes over to hug me 

"it looks good on you, you deserve this Y/n" giving me a squeeze before walking back over to the fridge to get the oats i made for her

"what did he say anyway to get you all giddy oh" she gasps turning round "did he say the l word yet?" she says and i say 

"nooooo" i say "he just informed me that he's whisking me away for a romantic evening, ending in an early night for me as he knows me so well" i say and she says
