Toothache

Prompt - I really like your story "Wanted: Baby of the Band". I also have a one shot for you if you could do it; Nathan has a toothache, has been acting like a brat because he's in pain (the boys don't know he has a toothache), ends up getting spanked because of how he's been acting, only then to have the boys found out about his toothache and help him.

It’s been a week now since Nathan had had this toothache. Recently, he’d had a toothache and Tom had taken him to the dentist. It had been a complete nightmare for him. He had cried the whole way to the dentist and the tears increased when the dentist said that they had to remove the tooth. Thankfully Tom was allowed to stay inside with him but yet he’d cry the whole time, they had the tooth removed. Ever since, he had thought that he will never return to the dentist.

But now since a few days, his missing tooth was growing again and it really hurt. But he refused to say anything in case if the boys insisted to take him to the dentist. So, he kept it as a secret. But then he would nibble on almost everything from his pencil to his fingers, Nathan’s teeth marks would be everywhere. He would be chewing on everything. But whenever the boys were nearby, Nathan would remove his pencil or fingers from his mouth and act normally but the pain still stayed there. And Nathan slowly started acting out because of the pain.

Every time the boys found him chewing on something, they would scold him. “Nath, are you hungry? Then why are you chewing on your pencil.” Max scolded Nathan. “Not your problem” Nathan mumbled. “Did I hear something Nath?” Max asked giving Nathan a swat on the thigh. “No Sir” Nathan whispered. “Good” Max said ruffling Nathan’s hair. Another day, it was Siva who found Nathan chewing on his own fingers. “What’s wrong, Nathan? Something hurts?” Siva asked. “No, I’m fine.” Nathan shouted back. “Don’t shout. I asked you calmly, you reply to me calmly alright?” Siva scolded. Nathan nodded.

But still, the pain wasn’t subsiding. And it was making Nathan crankier. Tom had had enough of Nathan’s crankiness. Nathan had been having a real bad day. And it certainly didn’t help when Jay gave Nathan a list of things to do. “I don’t want to do your stupid works.” Nathan screamed. “Nath” Tom warned. “Tom wait, what’s wrong, Nathan? It’s your job to clean your room and I’m asking you to do nothing other than that” Jay asked. “Can’t you understand, Jay? I don’t want to any stupid work” Nathan screamed and without even thinking, he gave Jay a little shove.

Max and Siva stood there shaking their heads at Nathan. Nathan had done this before to Siva and he had learnt that hitting or shoving his bandmates would end up in him having a sore bottom and this time also, the same will happen. “Nathan, you won’t learn, will you?” Tom scolded as he pulled Nathan over his lap.

SWAT SWAT Haven’t you SWAT SWAT learned now SWAT SWAT that you don’t SWAT SWAT hit or shove at SWAT SWAT anyone SWAT SWAT I had enough SWAT SWAT of your crankiness SWAT SWAT lately SWAT SWAT so you better SWAT SWAT straighten up SWAT SWAT or else SWAT SWAT it will be SWAT SWAT worser than this SWAT SWAT Got it SWAT SWAT

Tom stopped the spanking when he heard Nathan sobbing. He was about to continue but Nathan had his fingers in his mouth and was crying about something paining. Tom sat Nathan up on his lap. “What’s hurting, Nath?” Tom asked. Nathan shook his head at Tom. “Come on Nathan, none of these, tell me what’s hurting?” Tom asked. “Hey, Nath, remove your fingers from your mouth.” Siva asked and when Nathan shook his head, Siva just pulled the fingers out of Nathan’s mouth. Nathan whined but Tom shushed him. “Nathan, you got a toothache?” Jay asked. Nathan shook his head in denial fearing about the dentist. “Come on let me see” Max said, opening Nathan’s mouth to see the tooth. “Ah, it’s just your missing tooth growing back again” Max said. “No dentist?” Nathan asked. Tom chuckled. “This is why you’ve been cranky for so long. You should just have told us, Baby Nath.” Tom said. “No dentist, you just need a cooling gel on that tooth and stop chewing on your fingers or else I’ll get you a teething ring” Max chuckled.

Somehow, Nathan’s fingers ended up in his mouth again and Max removed them shaking his head at Nathan. “Nath, stop messing with that tooth” Tom warned. “It will be fine kid. You just have to let it grow.” Siva said. Nathan whined and turned into Jay, hiding his face in Jay’s shirt. He sneaked his fingers to his mouth again and smiled when Jay hid him from the boys’ looks.
