What if Vivian never showed up to the ball?

Vivian stepped out of the shop, bag in hand. It was a cold Saturday evening. The Halloween decorations were already up on every street corner. The woman glanced at her watch, half past seven. She really had to get home now, Sara couldn't look after Jamie forever.
A sadness spread through her. The Halloweenball would officially start in half an hour, and Siobhan would be getting married then. Vivian sighed softly. She should have realised that their love was doomed from the start.
Siobhan didn't have the courage to break away from Roger and stand up for herself. Vivian had tried everything to help her, but Siobhan kept so many things under wraps. Vivian didn't even know what exactly was going on in Siobhan and Roger's relationship.
The blonde had made a few hints, which set off Vivian's alarm bells. But when she followed up, Siobhan denied everything.
Sometimes, Vivian thought that she had just been an experiment for Siobhan. Something new and exciting, and when it got too serious, Siobhan got cold feet.
Vivian was almost by her car when Marjorie came out of a costume shop in front of her. The woman walked with a quick step and seemed to be finishing a phone call. "Oh, Vivian! Good to see you!"
Vivian gave her a slight smile. " Hey, Marjorie."
The manager was about to continue walking when she stopped abruptly. " What are you doing here? Aren't you invited to the ball too?"
"Erm, yes... but I had errands to run, and I couldn't find anyone to look after Jamie all night."
" Oh... Well then..." her phone rang again. ".. Oh, it's Reece. I've got to go. I'll see you on Monday!"
"See you on Monday..." Vivian mumbled.
At the same time in the Knight mansion, Siobhan was standing in front of the large mirror in the dressing room, she had to reapply her make-up as it had been blurred by the tears she couldn't hold back.
So that was it. She would never escape Roger's clutches again. Siobhan looked closely at her reflection. She was pale and looked completely exhausted. She was tired. Tired of life.
She had to swallow to stop herself from crying again. How she hoped Vivian would turn up to save her. But when the door opened behind her, it wasn't the nurse, but Mia.
"Hey, Shibs, everyone is waiting for you." Mia's grin disappeared as she looked closely at Siobhan. She saw the fear in the blonde. " ... Siobhan? Is everything all right?"
Siobhan quickly put her serious face back on. "Everything is great, Mia."
But Mia didn't really want to believe this and stepped right in front of Siobhan.
" You know... I know what Roger is like... if you need help..."
" Mia no! I don't need any help or pity! Now go! I want to get ready in peace!"
" As you wish..." Mia mumbled. " You have 20 minutes..." With that, she left the room.
Siobhan breathed heavily. In less than half an hour, her life would be over. This wasn't a wedding. This was a funeral, and she was the one digging her own grave. All the events of the past year were running through her head. Roger would now make her life even more of a living hell.
And what was worse, she knew what his real plan for her was. Roger was disappointed in his children. They had brought him nothing but shame in his eyes. Siobhan was still young. He wanted children with her.
The thought of carrying a child of this monster turned Siobhan's stomach. No, she couldn't. But she knew she could never escape from his clutches. Even if she ran to the ends of the world, he would find her eventually.
Siobhan took the ring from her finger, the symbol of a handcuff in her eyes. There was only one way out. She could escape to a place where he couldn't follow her.
When Siobhan opened the balcony door and stepped outside, she was greeted by the cold wind. She looked into the abyss. It was high enough to end it.
Her last thought was Vivian, and she hoped the woman would find someone who actually deserved her.
Vivian walked into Nursery on Monday morning, unsuspecting. Jamie by her hand. But when she entered the classroom, she immediately noticed the heavy atmosphere in the room. Charlotte and Winter were talking quietly. She was the first, there were no other children there yet.
"Good morning," said Vivian.
The two employees gave each other a quick glance. Winter did a quick handover with Vivian. But the nurse knew that something was very, very wrong. As Winter stepped away with Jamie. Charlotte came to her. " Viv... You'd better sit down."
"Why? What happened?"
Charlotte sighed heavily, seemingly searching for the right words. " On Saturday... Siobhan... she... she took her own life... Viv... I'm so sorry... the funeral is..."
" Thank you, Charlotte." The brunette was surprised by Vivian's cold tone. "I have to go now." The nurse left the room as quickly as she could.
Her world had just collapsed. She felt numb and cold. It was her fault. She couldn't help Siobhan. It was only when Vivian stepped out of the building that she allowed herself to cry. She looked up at the sky as the tears ran down her cheeks. "... Why... Bon... Why couldn't you just let me help you?"
