Autumn watched Charlotte leave the building and make her way to her car. Marjorie had sent her home. She sighed. If Autumn was one thing, she was realistic. Every day that passed and Mia was still missing, the chances of finding her alive became slimmer and slimmer.

She kept these thoughts to herself. But it was the terrible truth. That no one else dared to speak.

She went back into the office and took her seat. There were piles of documents on the desks, but no one really seemed to be concentrating on their work. The conversations that usually permeated the air were now muffled. The room was pervaded by a palpable sense of trepidation.

Suddenly, Siobhan entered the office with a folder in her hand. Her expression was serious, almost tense, as she walked slowly through the door and caught the anxious glances of her colleagues.

"I have the documents for the upcoming board meeting," Siobhan said as she held the folder in her hand in front of her.

Autumn looked at her in surprise,
" What are you talking about? I thought the meetings were on hold for now?" she asked with a bitter undertone.

Reece, who was sitting at one of the desks, put his hands on the table and stared at Siobhan. "Don't tell me now. That Dad really wants to meet up with us now? Is he really acting like everything's fine? What is wrong with him?"

Marjorie shook her head and crossed her arms. "It's not just unprofessional, it's... distasteful," she said, looking around as if she couldn't believe it. "Mia is missing! And Roger is acting like it's just another day."

Siobhan nodded slowly, her eyes closing for a moment as if she were trying to find a moment of peace. "I know how you feel," she finally said. "And I hate that we still have to deal with him, too. But... this meeting could be our chance to vote Roger out as owner. We have to take advantage of it."

The others silently nod as everyone understood the gravity of this task.

"I'll take the documents to him personally," Siobhan continued. "I'll handle it myself." Her voice was firm, but also laced with a hint of unease.

Reece jumped to his feet, his worry clear on his face. "Siobhan, I'm coming with you. My father... you know how he can be."

Siobhan shook her head, her posture unchanged. "No, I'll have to handle this on my own. You know how he reacts when he feels cornered. He could get us all in trouble if he realised we're working against him. "

Reece looked at her for a second as if he wanted to object, but he remained silent. Finally, he sighed and sat back down, knowing that there was no point in insisting any further. "All right," he finally said, "take care of yourself."

Siobhan, folder in hand, turned towards the door. She took one last look at the faces of her colleagues. With a deep breath, Siobhan left the office and made her way to Roger. She knew it would be a difficult journey. But she also knew that she couldn't let this opportunity pass by them.

Vivian was standing in the hospital changing room, her shift finally over. She wiped the sweat from her forehead and took off her uniform when her mobile phone suddenly lit up. Siobhan. A smile of relief flitted across Vivian's face. It wasn't unusual for her to call during the day, but when Vivian tried to take the call, the screen suddenly went black.

She looked at the display in confusion. The call was suddenly cancelled. That wasn't like Siobhan at all. She reached for her mobile and quickly typed a message.

'Hey, Bon, are you OK? You tried to call me.'

It didn't take long for the three dots to appear in the chat. But it seemed to take half an eternity before the message was finally written.
