Nobody could calm Autumn's rage. No one dared to stand in her way. It was only Reece who dared to hold her back when she went after Mia after she told the truth about Prom Night. But even in that moment, Reece regretted it in hindsight, his sister was simply stronger and had inherited their father's murderous rage.

It only gave Mia enough time to escape the situation. Her father washed his hands in innocence afterwards. Reece and Marjorie didn't believe that Mia alone was behind it all. But Autumn was convinced, after years of pain, she finally had a scapegoat and no one could convince her otherwise.

When she left the house that night and stepped out into the poring rain, she knew she would return with blood on her hands. Winter had begged her to finally let bygones be bygones. But his words fell on deaf ears. So she went out to find Mia, because if there was one thing Autumn knew. Then it was only a matter of time before the redhead would try to escape.

The rain pelted down on the car, Autumn parked outside the King's Pub and waited. The black Mustang parked in front of the building firmly in view. With every hour that passed, the hatred in Autumn grew more and more. An unquenchable hatred that burned inside her along with a desire for revenge.

The door of the pub finally opened and Mia stepped out onto the street. The rain fell on her and she looked up at the sky for a moment before walking quickly to her car. Unaware that she was being watched by two icy eyes. As soon as the black Mustang drove off, it was followed through the streets of London.

Mia's flat was in a quiet neighbourhood. Only a temporary stay for her, she had already booked a flight to leave the country once and for all. There was nothing keeping her here. She had lost everything and was now the enemy in the eyes of the people she had once felt so much sibling love for. The only comfort in the whole situation for Mia was, that Autumn and Reece had found each other again, and if she had to become the scapegoat for it. Then she was happy to accept that.

Mia walked up the driveway to get to the front door, already playing with the keys in her pocket, still unaware of the shadow looming over her. She climbed the few steps and was almost at her destination. When a voice cut through the rain.

"Mia!"

She looked over her shoulder. There in the darkness she saw Autumn standing at the foot of the stairs. The rain had already soaked her completely, the baseball bat firmly in her hand and a look that could kill. The redhead turned to face her fully, their eyes meeting. The icy blue of Autumn and the emerald green of Mia.

"Go home, Autumn," Mia spoke calmly.

But Autumn didn't move an inch. She continued to stare hatefully at her and clutched the bat in her hand even tighter. Mia sighed and slowly walked back down the steps. Now she was facing the woman. "Don't do anything you'll regret later," Mia continued. "What's the point of you being here?"

"I just want you to feel some of the pain you've caused me!" Autumn hissed.

"If you think I'm going to fight you like in a bad action movie, then you're wrong. Don't make a fool of yourself," Mia replied, unimpressed.

This seemed to push Autumn over the edge and when thunder cried out in the distance, she had also struck with her bat. Mia dodged, stumbling to the side. She realised that she wasn't going to get out of this one without a fight.

The bat came back in her direction, Mia raised her arms in reflex to protect herself, the wood hit her forearms hard. For a moment Autumn regretted it as she saw the pain on Mia's face. Mia stumbled back a few steps again, looking at her in pain and bewilderment. Now something was flaring up inside Mia too, it was the frustration of always being the guilty one, it was the years she had lost because of Roger. Mia couldn't put her finger on it, but without giving it much thought, she threw a fist in Autumn's direction.

The rain fell harder and harder from above, water was already collecting on the ground. The sky was constantly lit up by lightning, and then filled with the loud rumbling of thunder. The fight between the two women continued unabated.

Autumn swung the bat again as Mia caught it out of the air and gripped it tightly. The redhead had already clenched her fist and was ready to strike, she would have no obstacle in her way to deliver a direct blow to Autumn.

But when their eyes met, Mia saw Autumn as a teenager for a moment. As the girl she called a sister once, and she couldn't strike. Autumn pulled back her bat and yanked it out of Mia's hand. She swung again, this time the wood hit the redhead's shoulder. Mia cried out loudly, another blow hit her in the stomach, which nearly drove her last meal upwards.

Mia almost lost her balance and fell to her knees, but before she did a fist hit her square in the face. Mia fell hard to the floor, her already wet clothes now mixed with the dirt that was washed up on the ground. She was so dazed that the world around her was a blur, a loud ringing in her ears. Autumn took a deep breath, she had won the fight, but she was far from finished.

Hatred blinded her. She grabbed the shoulder of the woman lying before her and turned her on her back. Mia couldn't focus her eyes, she lay there dazed, the rain coming down even harder on her. She tasted blood, her lips must have split open from the blow.

Another loud thunder sounded as Autumn raised her bat again. She stood menacingly over Mia. All sanity had left her body.

" You'll always be my little sister...", Mia managed to get out, her voice almost drained by the rain.

The hate-filled look in Autumn's eyes slowly disappeared, the bat that was still hovering menacingly in the air began to tremble in her hands.

What was she doing?
She was no better than her father.

These thoughts were running through Autumn's mind. She slowly lowered the bat.

"I never want to see you again!"

With these words, Autumn left. Leaving Mia lying there in the rain. With each step, her eyes filled more with tears.

Autumn thought getting her revenge would make her feel better. But she felt more alone and broken than before.

Winter jumped up as soon as he heard the front door open. With quick steps, he ran into the corridor. "Autumn..." his voice calm. She looked up, water dripping from her wet hair. She stared at him emotionlessly. Winter felt a slight relief when he saw her unharmed.

But he didn't wanted to imagine what had happened. He dared not approach her. "I couldn't do it. " Autumn sobbed out. Her hand fell over her mouth as she tried to stifle her tears. Now Winter moved and caught her as she fell into his arms, burying her face in his shoulder and letting the tears run free.

The bathroom door flew open as Mia dragged herself into the room. She stopped at the sink and had to hold on to it to keep her balance. She looked in the mirror and saw her reflection. A trail of blood was running down her lip to her chin and a few drops had already dripped onto her shirt. Her wet hair was sticking to her forehead. Slowly she lifted her shirt and saw her bruised ribs. Mia held on to the basin again.

She could only think one clear thought. You didn't deserve it any other way.
