Vivian's heart raced as she drove through the streets, steering the car through the evening with screeching tyres. The images of Siobhan alone with Roger haunted her. The idea that he could get hold of her again almost drove her mad. She had always known that this man was dangerous.

The thought that she might be in the clutches of this monster again drove her on. Vivian accelerated the car even more, regardless of the consequences. There was no time to lose. She had to find Siobhan. She had to save her before it was too late.

The Knight family estate was outside the city. Away from the hustle and bustle. You had to drive along a winding road through a small wooded area to reach it. Vivian knew the route, the first time she had driven it was at the Halloween ball. At last, the magnificent but dark mansion appeared in the distance. The iron gate was open. She drove into the forecourt.

There was no sign of Siobhan's car anywhere. But Vivian didn't let this put her off, the gravel crunched under her shoes. As she walked towards the large wooden door. She knocked on the door, her heart pounding loudly in her chest. A few long seconds passed before the door opened with a soft squeak. Roger stood in the doorway, his face marked with an incomprehensible expression that did not bode well. He was wearing a dark blue shirt with the sleeves rolled up and his eyes were cold and forbidding.

"Vivian," he said in a voice that was anything but welcoming. "What brings you here?"

"Where's Siobhan?" Vivian took a step closer, her eyes literally piercing him. Her voice sounded sharper than she had intended. "I know she's here. Where is she?"

Roger shook his head slowly and leant against the doorframe. "Siobhan's not here. She was here a few hours ago to bring me something. But she was in such a hurry. As soon as she got here, she was gone again." His voice was indifferent, almost bored, as if he didn't care about her worries in the slightest.

Vivian felt the anger building up inside her again. "Don't lie to me, you bloody bastard!" Her eyes narrowed as she tried to read something in his face that worried her.

"It's not my problem that you lost sight of her," he said flatly. "If there's nothing more there. Then get out." The coldness in his voice was like a slap.

Vivian felt a terrible feeling spreading through her. Something wasn't right here. "If you've done something to her!"

But Roger remained unimpressed. He seemed visibly bored. "This conversation is over." He wanted to slam the door, but Vivian stopped him with her hand.

"It was you, wasn't it? Siobhan and Mia were in your way! Where are they?" Vivian's voice rang out strongly.

The mention of Mia caused a brief, barely noticeable change to occur in Roger's features, but it wasn't the feeling of remorse Vivian had expected. It was almost as if he was mocking her. "Mia? What's that got to do with me? The bitch left because she probably got bored of that brunette. Probably just like Siobhan. Because she's nothing but a whore!"

The rage in Vivian blinded her, she was about to strike out when the squeal of wheels stopped her. Reece's silver Porsche stopped abruptly. The car doors opened, and the Knight siblings got out. "Vivian!" the blonde man shouted.

The distraction gave Roger enough time to slam the door shut. "Damn it!" cursed Vivian.

Reece took a step towards Vivian, who was staring angrily at the door of the house as if she wanted to tear it down with her bare hands. Her eyes were burning with anger and the palms of her hands were clenched into fists.

"Vivian, stop it!" he said calmly but firmly. "You can't just go in there. He won't tell you anything, and you're only playing into his hands if you keep acting like this."
