I wanted to clear something up before i start this chapter.
In my book, Ash and Serena are 16 years old at this moment. Yes that is correct. Why? Because.. well, you'll see sooner or later ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

[Alola Region, 3PM, Alolan Standard Time]
Writer's POV
Jessie, James and Meowth are sprinting towards the Airport.
"I don't understand, Jessie. Why do we have to immediately go to Kanto?" James said to Jessie with an annoyed attitude since he was the one carrying all the luggage and Jessie was carrying nothing at all.
"Nobody told you to carry your luggage!" Jessie replied to James in an angry tone.
"Nobody told you to give me that attitude either, but i'm stuck with both!" James replies savagely.
"Of course i want to go to Kanto because i want to be first ever Kanto Queen! I bet the twerps are there too! Now hurry before that Bewear finds us!" Jessie exclaimed as she replied to James. She had received the same message from Monsieur Pierre with an invitation to the Kanto Pokemon Showcase like Serena since she too had participated in the Kalos Pokemon Showcase.
"The future Kanto Queen is on her way to get the title she rightfully deserves!" Jessie exclaimed as she entered the Airport.
"Not this again..." James and Meowth say to each other in unison since they just realized they are about to go through the same pain they went through in the Kalos Region.
"We can't catch Pikachu for the Boss if the Twerp is thousands of miles away! Now step on it!" Jessie said to James and Meowth in her usual commanding tone.
"Well, as long as that twerp's Pikachu is gonna be there, Let's go, James!" Meowth says in a determined tone as they enter the Airport.
[Kanto Region, 9AM, Kantos Standard Time]
Ash and Serena are now on the flight which is on the way the Kanto Region. Serena is sitting on the window side of the plane whereas Ash is sitting beside her. All of their pokemon are inside their Pokeballs except Pikachu who is sitting on Ash's shoulder as usual
"It's a shame Clemont and Bonnie didn't get to join us. Bonnie would have loved to see all of my Pokemon at Professor Oak's Lab" Ash said to Serena.
(In thoughts)"It's not that much of a shame when Bonnie actually tried to get us together without becoming a third wheel" Serena thought to herself while placing her hand on her mouth as she started smirking.
"You can show your Pokemon to me, Ash. I would love to meet all of your Pokemon that you've caught in your adventures so far" Serena replied with a smile of joy on her face. She was enjoying being able to share some time alone with Ash.
"Yeah, Serena sure thing! You'll love all of my Pokemon. They have been through a lot by my side" Ash said to Serena in his usual uplift tone as he remembered all the times when he caught his Pokemon in all the different regions he had traveled and all of the friends he made in his journeys.
"Oh, Serena, about that stuff my Mom was saying earlier about us dating.. and all..." Ash said to Serena who started blushing instantly.
"I mean, we're just like.. what? 16 years old.. like it's just.." Ash continued on rambling on and on till the point where all Serena could hear was plain gibberish until she put her finger on Ash's lips so she could stop him from speaking.
