A Meeting of Journeys

[Ash's Indigo League Journey Day 7, Viridian City Pokemon Center. 9PM]

Writer's POV

Narrator: "After Detective Looker's raid in the Viridian City Gym causing Team Rocket to put all of their plans on hold, Giovanni had a salty dialogue with his son: Silver. With nothing but the will to prove himself to his Father, Silver's journey is about to begin as he meets someone---" 

After running away from his father, Silver went straight to the Pokemon Center where he could spend the night under a roof and cool down a bit.

Silver was sitting on a bench while crying, but doing his best to hide his face. A Totodile was sitting on Silver's lap, looking at his Trainer with a sad expression on it's face.

Before meeting his Father earlier that day and having that salty encounter, Silver was returning from Professor Elm's Pokemon Laboratory in the Johto Region. He had come all the way from Johto to Kanto just to show his first ever partner Pokemon to his Dad, the Team Rocket Boss Giovanni.

Silver never actually got his starter Pokemon after he turned 10, because his father just gave one fully evolved powerhouse Pokemon to him so he could start on the path to being a Team Rocket Grunt.

Silver learned rough and unforgiving battling-styles during the time his father was mentoring him. But it was all in the dust as Silver now wanted a fresh start. He no longer looked up to his Father. He wanted to start his Journey on his own, with his new partner and first starter Pokemon, Totodile.

"Toto-Toto-" (Don't cry--) Totodile said in a sad tone as he wiped the tears off of his new trainer's face.

*Sniff* "You're right, Totodile---" Silver said as he started wiping his tears as well. 

The weather outside got rough, as dark clouds covered the night sky. Suddenly, heavy rain started falling.

The Automatic glass doors of the Pokemon Center opened, and a group of Four came inside, running to get out of the heavy rain.

The group of four was Ash, Serena, Clemont and Bonnie. They all hurried forwards towards Nurse Joy. 

"Nurse Joy! Do you have any rooms available!?" Ash asked Nurse Joy in a hurry. "Oh, why yes. You're right on time. We have one last room left" Nurse Joy replied to Ash in her sweet tone.

"Hey! Wait!" Silver said loudly as he got up from his seat. "huh?" Ash and the rest said in a confused manner as they turned around and looked at Silver.

"I was here first, so I get the room! not them!" Silver said to Nurse Joy in a bit of anger. "Toto-toto!" (Right!) Totodile said as his behavior changed to serious.

"We asked for it first! So we get it!" Ash said in a bit of anger as well. "Pika-Pika!" (Right!) Pikachu said as his tone got serious as well.

Ash and Silver had locked their eyes, and their facial expressions showed what they were thinking. 

"If two trainers meet eyes, they have to battle!" Silver said as he widened his footing. "Couldn't agree more!" Ash replied as Pikachu jumped off of his shoulders and got ready to battle.

"All right then! We settle this with a Pokemon battle! Whoever wins, get's the room!" Ash said in an energetic manner. "You got it!" Silver replied to Ash as they both got ready for a battle.  

"Time-OUT!" Nurse Joy said as she came and stood between the two trainers and their Pokemon. "No Pokemon battles are allowed inside the Pokemon Center!" Nurse Joy added in a harsh tone.

"Right!" Ash and Silver said to Nurse joy before running off towards the Battlefield that was located at the back of the Pokemon Center.

"Is this all necessary?" Serena said in her worry-filled tone as she looked at Ash and Silver run off towards the back of the Pokemon Center.
