[Meanwhile, at the Showcase Venue as Ash's Battle starts]
All of the Performers had left after the Showcase ended, but Jessilee/Jessie was asked to stay by the management since someone asked for her. She was in a special room, identical to the one Serena had briefly stayed at. James and Meowth were there too. All of Jessie's Pokemon were in their Pokeballs.
Everyone was sitting on the sofa, when suddenly a familiar person entered the room.
"Hey! It's Boxed-Lunch Guy!" James said as soon as he spotted the person: Detective Looker.
Jessie and Meowth looked straight at Looker. "Yes--- so what---" Jessie said, as she got her head back down towards the ground.
Detective Looker walked up towards Jessie, and stood in front of her. "I know what happened with you, so I'm here to make a deal" Looker said.
"Huh? A Deal?" Meowth asked.
"I'm here on a crucial mission. And I know what happened to you three. Will you guys help me?" Looker asked the Trio.
"What do you know about what happened to us?" James asked.
"I know that you're unemployed since Team Rocket has been disbanded." Looker said.
"Okay--- what deal are ya talkin' 'bout?" Meowth asked.
"I'm here to capture Mars. The same girl from Team Galactic we arrested years ago back in Sinnoh." Looker said.
"That fashioniesta?" Jessie said, as she raised her head.
"Exactly. We don't have any recruits that are fit to take the case, except you three. I have great luck in catching criminals when you guys are around." Looker replied.
"What do we get---" Jessie said, lowering her head again.
"Clean records and employment as official Detectives of the International Police." Looker said to the Trio.
Jessie, James, and Meowth looked straight at Looker, with popped open eyes.
"Not good enough--- I was about to become a star moments ago---" Jessie said, as her tone went down again.
"I knew you wouldn't agree, so I brought in something that might convince you" Looker said, as he went for his pocket and took out a small picture. He handed the picture to Jessie.
"Who's the Agent?" James asked while looking at the picture which had a female Team rocket agent. She was wearing a black Team rocket uniform.
