A Fourth-wheel Battle!

[The Kalos Region, Professor Sycamore's Laboratory]

The doors of Professor Sycamore's Lab open, and a girl, Mairin enters it.

"Hey! Everybody! I'm back!" Mairin said as she entered the Lab, looking around. "Come on, Chespie! Let's find Alain!" She added while addressing her Chespin, which she calls Chespie.

"Che-Pin-Pin!" Chespie replied as it walked along Mairin, looking around.

Mairin was back from a journey, and wanted to see Alain and everyone else. She looked around the main hall, not finding anybody.

"Hello? Alain? Professor? Anybody?" Mairin said as she searched for any signs of anyone.

Suddenly, Plusle and Minun entered the Hall, running at full speed.

"Hey, you two! Where is everyone?" Mairin asked the two Electric-type Pokemon.

"Min-Min!" Minun said while pointing at the hallway. "Plus-Plus!" Plusle said, nodding it's head while pointing in the same direction. 

Then, Plusle and Minun quickly ran towards the hallway and entered the dining area. Mairin followed, along with Chespie.

Mairin entered the Dining area, and spotted Cosette sitting on the table and watching TV.

"Hi, Cosette! How are you?" Mairin said as she walked towards Cosette.

"Shh---! I'm fine, sit down---" Cosette replied while having her eyes locked at the TV.

"What's so interesting?" Mairin asked Cosette.

"It's Alain! He's about to battle!" Cosette replied, as she turned towards Mairin with an excited look on her face.

"Really? Where?" Mairin said in confusion.

"The Indigo League! in the Kanto Region!" Cosette replied as she turned her head back towards the TV.

"Really? When did he go there?" Mairin said in a surprised manner.

"Well---" Cosette replied, sweat-dropping a bit. "Look! There's Alain!" She added as she pointed at the TV, where the Camera focused on Alain as he entered the Battlefield.

"It's Alain! He looks so focused!" Mairin said with stars in her eyes as she looked at Alain's face on TV. Mairin locked her eyes on the TV, as she sat down on a chair next to Cosette in order to watch the battle.

[The Indigo Plateau. 3PM]

Narrator: "As the Indigo League is underway, Ash has won his first battle against old friendly rival Gary Oak. Now, onward with the show as Alain is in his first battle, with Max and Bonnie soon to follow!" 

The group was in the audience, and were looking at the next battle going on between their good friend Alain, and Ash's old friend Casey, the Electabuzz baseball team superfan.

"Charizard! Flamethrower!" Alain exclaimed as he formed a claw, ordering his Fiery Pokemon. Charizard wasn't Mega-Evolved at this point in battle. 

"Grr---!" Alain's Charizard exclaimed as it spewed a beam of flames straight at Casey's Electabuzz, cooking it to perfection in an instant.

"Electabuzz!" Casey cried out in worry as she looked at her beloved mascot take the powerful hit.

"Electtabuuuuu---" Electabuzz said as it fell to the ground, with spirals in it's eyes.

"Electabuzz is unable to battle! Charizard wins!" The referee said, raising the flag towards Alain.

"Electabuzz! Return!" Casey said as she pointed a Pokeball and called back her electric-type Pokemon.
